ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) The St. Louis Rams took the field at the Edward Jones Dome in a show of support for the Ferguson protesters. Rams players including Stedman Bailey, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and receivers Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt took to the field with their hands up. The hands up, dont shoot sign has been a hallmark of protesters since the August 9th shooting.
The St. Louis Rams are playing the Oakland Raiders. The hometown team is leading 44-0 in the 4th quarter. The gesture made another appearance after a touchdown in the first quarter.
They must be Fresh in from the Stupid Farm Team
Pants up! Don’t Loot!!!
“support” for WHAT?!?!?
Assaulting cops?
You’d think they’d give the Oakland OCCUPY’D crowd a break,, but NOOOooOOOo.
52 - 0
Rams over Raiders.
Racial rabble-rousing; who looks up to these semi-literate thugs anyway?
Screw all of them. How about “Hands up...Don’t steal any cigars”. I’m sure that the police officers in attendance were not amused.
The lies continue.
would that be the 5-7 Rams?
Why are they doing the hands up don’t shoot stance? The grand jury report showed us all that this was a myth. Brown was charging like a bull when the fatal shots were fired. He did NOT have hands up to surrender.
Do facts matter to anyone anymore???
Rams sure aren’t taking any prisoners on the Raiders. They’re up 52 to zip. How my Chiefs could lose to them in the last game is beyond me.
It probably needs to be in their contract, no politics of any sort while wearing the RAMS uniform. It reflects on the team and impugns that the team supports whatever they’re doing.
I wonder if the Brown family will get an endorsement deal with Swisher Sweet Cigars??? Favorite cigar of Michael Brown and all that...........
That’s rotten, I wouldn’t want to go to a game and see something like this. Surely, not every player did this nor coaches. Stay tuned to this story!
What’s the big deal? Thugs honoring thugs...
It happens.
hands up, dont shoot should be changed to “hands off dont get shot”.
Maybe close only counts in handgrenades and horseshoes but I understand the Rams have had narrow losses this year that could have gone the other way.
I would like to have seen half of the crowd boo and walk out.
Nothing says ghetto like Swisher Sweets and Skittles. It makes pawn shops and liquor stores practically mainstream.
Hands up, don’t purchase NFL game tickets or official merchandise.
