Well, The Season has Begun; and I am 'In The Spirit'!
What are your favorite Christmas songs/carols and renditions?

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
This performance of, 'Angels We Have Heard on High,' by Andrea Bocelli is about as good as it gets:

For my money, best female vocal goes to Emmylou Harris for her performance of, 'Light of the Stable':

When it comes to newer, contemporary songs, I've found two recent gems:
Florin Street Band - My Favourite Time of Year
and
You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I’m telling you why, Santa Claus is dead.
That.
Diane Krall is a passionate, sexy singer.
Speaking of that, it has been my life long mission to learn who sang it. I’ve been interviewing a lot of Baby Boomers, and I think I’m closing in on the answer!
Dude! Don’t harsh my mellow...man...

It came upon a midnight clear,.
Songwise, I’m very fond of “The Christmas Song” (Nat King Cole’s version.) When I hear that, I know it’s officially Christmas.
One of the great lyric lines, form “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”:
Strings of street lights, even stoplights
Blink a bright red and green...
One of the great lyric lines, from “Silver Bells”:
Strings of street lights, even stoplights
Blink a bright red and green...
Gosh! Thanks for reminding me of that. It’s one of the songs I remember singing in Elementary School. A great song, and a great rendition!

My best funny one is Walt Kelly’s Pogo and crew singing:
“Deck the Halls with Boston Charlie”.
Other Best: Bing’s “White Christmas”.
Star of the East--The Trinity Choir
Rockin Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee -

“Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!”
Moves me every time.
Oh, Gosh! I have to admit to being old enough to remember that :-)
