They’re a good team. Haven’t heard them mention the city. Don’t really care. If the city is coming back that would be nice, it’s got a lot of history, it’s a shame how it’s killed itself.
Let those two go live in Detroit for a week if they think it’s so great.I don’t mean staying in a swank hotel downtown either.
Nantz isn’t too bad, but Simms is insufferable - along with the fact he refuses to say “Redskins”.
So let me get this straight. Detroit, which was a complete and utter sh*thole, is now one one step above a complete and total sh*thole. And, on Thanksgiving no less, the commentators at a football game made the observation that Detroit is doing just a little bit better.... and you’re outraged.
Geez, have some turkey. Crack open a beer. Relax. Get a life.
If you dont like what they are saying, why do you pay them to say it?
Phil Simms should join the NFL concussion lawsuit.
He's got symptoms.
I just wanted to see the Bears beat the Lions because that would help the Packers’ standing in the NFC North. As for the city of Detroit: I could see building a wall around it, to keep the inmates from escaping. And a slightly lower wall around Ann Arbor.
Phil Simms is a HUGE Leftist Regressive PC ‘Rat.
Heard em mention something about a renaissance over the last two years and I started to laugh.
Detroit did smoke duh Bears though.
Speaking as a native Detroiter there is no F’n way Detroit will ever get even close to a sembilance of what it looked like pre-1967.
The majority of the people in the city limits do not possess the education or the work ethic to turn this city around and it will take a hundred years if EVER to get the city to operate like a normal town. The majority of the people in Detroit proper are on the government teat or are too poor or too old to move out.
The liberal gentrifiers can waste their treasure trying to make downtown shine but it is like a silver dollar stuck in a piece of shit.
These people can even pay their water bills!
Voting DemoRat has consequences.
Detroit Denby, Class of 1967
I love Detroit. So glad she is making a comeback.
Detroit has provided plenty of entrepreneurial opportunities. Tours of ruins, drug manufacturing and distribution, and welfare fraud.
It’s been 47 years since the ‘67 riots in Detroit. After Kwame (the greatest criminal in Michigan history) Kilpatrick and the recent bankruptcy, maybe the city has finally bottomed out.
It’s been 57 years since the Lions won a title. I was 7 yrs. old but remember it well, as our neighbor was the only guy on the street with a t.v. In 2008 they bottomed out at 0-16.
Return to glory for both?
