She contends the comedian assaulted her before a 1971 appearance on ‘The Tonight Show,’ and is reportedly trying to get at least nine others to join her in a class action against him.
It’s a legal longshot, but an actress who has accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault four decades ago is planning to sue him.
And Louisa Moritz is trying to get at least nine other women to join her in a class action against the embattled funnyman — even though in her case the criminal statute of limitations may be long passed.
Best known for her role as Rose in the Oscar-winning “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” Moritz revealed her plans to TMZ.com.
Moritz, one of a dozen women who have come out of the woodwork with tawdry accusations against Cosby, claims the comedian assaulted her before a 1971 appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson.
The Cuban-born actress said she was in a dressing room when Cosby knocked on her door and offered kudos for her acting. She said Cosby buttered her up with an offer to "make her a major star" before he attacked her.

I’ve been asking myself this question -— How do you prove rape vs consensual sex?
You can’t.
Which means we make the decision based on which of the parties tells a better story.
Somewhat of a problem when various of the parties are professional actors.
Actually it’s a problem anytime. Unless someone can explain a way to reach an honest verdict of “guilty beyond a reasonable doubt” based solely on one person’s testimony that is directly contradicted by another person’s.
And is these supposedly happened in the early 70’s.

It now becomes a numbers game. Over a dozen women vs one man.
You can't. But, if you can widely publicise your accusations and get some more "victims" to join your cause, you can overwhelm the target (the very wealthy Cosby in this case) and do a class action suit in hopes that he'll pay you off to get you off his back.

She reminds me of a bustier version of Goldie Hawn.
Which is itself evidence. I will go out on a limb and say any woman I’ve ever been friends with or worked with would immediately say that I’d never do something like this. Which I wouldn’t.
The numbers game wasn’t allowed to work for Clarence Thomas. Something like 20 women testified he’d always behaved as a perfect gentleman. One testified he’d made some uncouth comments and that’s what got all the media attention.
I have to thank the media for one thing, though. My wife watched the actual hearings during the day, then the evening news with me. She was amazed and appalled at the great difference between what had happened in the hearings and what the news said had happened.
Started her move away from liberal POVs. So I’ve got that going for me.
It’s also reasonable to note some of the accusations are less than 10 years old.
And Bill Clinton is walking around free.
Notice that it is the accusations characterized as tawdry - not the alleged conduct.
No chance of that happening here in America.

when a superior who has leverage over employee’s job has sex with a subordinate according to what I learned in sexual harassment training, it is not considered consensual because the power of the higher rank is factored into the scenario.
Not a crime, but sexual harassment.
