Angel Heart is one of great cult films of all time; and the sex scene is so awful it nearly ruins what is an otherwise outstanding movie.
Cosby's politics have always been left of center, and his racism is well known. If he thinks "White America" demanded Lisa Bonet's nude scene, who does he believe ordered Mickey Rourke's bare @ss? Mutant America?

Whether he's an Obama supporting leftist liberal is irrelevant.
What matters is if he's guilty. Once we disregard this principle based on the politics of the target (even if our enemies do it), the the Rule of Law is doomed.
This doesn't mean I don't think the evidence increasingly points to guilt, just that I don't want to let my distaste for his politics color my opinion of his guilt.
