President Barack Obamas unilateral move to lift the risk of deportation for millions of undocumented immigrants has so incensed rank-and-file Republicans, their leaders are actively tamping down potential cries for impeachment. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said that sort of outrage is "bogus," and she went to the history of the immigration debate to prove it.

Does someone have to tell that woman how to breathe? Her logic is beyond belief ... well no it’s not. It’s MSNBC.
No not true.
George H.W. Bush thing was watch my lips ,LOL
Does this nice young man know that much of Bush's own base raised hell when he tried to promote amnesty via legal means?
I hear lots of yapping from the dems, but I don't see an EO. Don't let them live in your head for free.

Apples and oranges. Rachel is 20% correct and 80% blowhard.
I don’t know, but based from that article first paragraph alone. Theres a difference between forestalling deportation and amnesty. That be like not punishing anyone who refuse to pay their taxes vs giving everyone’s tax rate 10%. Its a difference from prioritizing prosecution with limited resources vs changing the law
This is childish logic. Just because someone on the other side of the political aisle does something, that does not make it good or right.
e.g After 9/11 A Police Department may prioritize resources to fight terrorism vs resources investigating bank robbery. It doesn’t mean bank robbery is now legal, its just that they’re focused on counter-terrorism vs bank robbery
Obama is not prioritizing resources he’s basically saying bank robbery is now legal
Maddow said Obamas proposed executive action on immigration policy is roughly on the same scale as one taken by Bush. The estimates of how many people would be affected by the policies of both presidents, compared to total number of undocumented immigrants at the time support the claim. Both measures unilaterally lifted or would lift the risk of deportation from about 40 percent of the reported population.
We rate the claim True.

It would appear to be about the same.
Do not shoot the messenger.
This will help
So it didn’t happen at all?
So it didn’t happen?

on further reading of that article, the claim that is true is somewhat misleading. They’re not saying its true based on the legality of the issue, but based on how many ppl are being effected. It depends how you define “scale”.
So if both actions were legal, they’re roughly the same “scale”
Next month, when Obama sends all da white folks to FEMA camps, Maddow may dismiss it as “on the scale of what FDR did to the Japanese-Americans”.
This coming from Maddow right? She telling us the whole truth? I The usual lying by omission. Bush and Reagan acted under the federal statute of the Simpson-Mazzoli Act 1986. Obama has none but himself.
LOL! In other words, they won't bother to figure out if action both presidents took is the same, they'll just rate as "TRUE" that is affected the same percentage of people.
Oh brother.
I hearby give all of Rachael Maddow’s current and future posessions to the illegal immigrants. They can fight over their share.
