There have been actors that have made people laugh since the days of Charlie Chaplin. We all have our favorites whether it's John Candy is or Robin Williams. Who do you think are the three funniest actors of all time?
I agree, it's certainly the funniest one liner I've ever heard. Well, maybe it's a two-liner. But aren't most one-liners actually two-liners? Hmm.
Another thing is, every time I try to tell that joke, I get no laughs at all.
It was Mr. Dangerfield's timing and funny facial expressions that made it such a punch-to-the-gut belly laugh.
Understanding the humor in “The Nairobi Trio” is like understanding faith. You either understand it or you don’t.
An alumni from The Ernie Kovacs show was responsible for the guy on the tricycle who would just fall over on Laugh-In. Elvis Presley wanted to do that bit but his manager would not let him do it because it was not “dignified”. So, I believe that I would have enjoyed Elvis’ sense of humor.
Dick Shawn in Its a Mad Mad Mad World was too funny.
My list:
Curly of the Three Stooges—by far a true comic genius
Jack Benny
Jackie Gleason
Exactly! Hidden Gem. Great scene!
“The day I was delivered in the hospital, I was so ugly .........the doctor slapped my mother!”
Jim Carey on In Living Color
Fire Marshall Bill
Vanilla Ice
Vera Di Milo
The guys even funnier as black adder
Jack Soo
Yes! I remember him and that’s from 80’s and 90’s reruns and online
Fred Mertz was my personal hero, until Al Bundy came along.
“Benny Hinn is pretty funny with the faith healing .......”
He’s not as funny as that “POW POW POW” preacher. Who is that?
Red Skelton was my fave when I was knee high to a grasshopper.
Dick Shawn in the original (1968) version of “The Producers”. He was a total riot.
Found that in the bargain bin yesterday and watched it last night for the first time in years. I nearly herniated myself laughing over the JFK Bay of Pigs inscribed photo.
“Jonathan Winters in Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World killed it.”
There was a real interesting interview where he talks about that. IIRC he had been out of work before then, drinking, a stay in a mental hospital, suicidal thoughts, etc. Really dark.
I think he said something about how the scene in the gas station allowed him to vent a lot of stuff! And helped him more than his therapy!
