Then I stopped smoking dope and grew up. They aren't as funny now. Sorry, I could only come up with two

Forgot the rest.

I loved the Three Stooges. My mother met them at party and they were all short.

"Williams...never made me laugh"

ditto. In his forty year career I never laughed at one William's joke or bit. Yet I've seen him act in some serious roles and do an excellent job.

I was watching one of Buster Keaton’s cheapo 1930s ‘talkie’ short-subjects, made for low-budget Educational Pictures about a year ago, and even though the shorts are usually derided as Keaton at his weakest, a sight gag in one of them gave me one of the biggest laughs I’d had in ages.

He played a gas-station attendent out in a dusty desert, and a woman drives up to the station, her auto covered in desert sand/dust. Keaton is using a rag to knock the dust off the car and windshield, and then goofily continues on to actually dusting the woman in the driver’s seat as well. He stops and curiously twists the end of his little rag (making you wonder what he’s up to) into a point. And then he directs it towards the woman’s ear, as if to wipe the dust from it. She naturally slaps his hand away, annoyed at his ridiculous affrontery.

Just marvelous, totally visual humor. A weird little visual gag that seems to just come out of the blue.

That whole SCTV crew was great: Eugene Levy, Harold Ramis, Catherine O’hara (Not Guilty I might add), Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, John Candy, etc.

I find it hard to believe that no one has mentioned the great Red Green.
