Don Lemon is catching a lot of backlash for a comment he made in an interview, implying women can stop unwanted sexual assaults. On Tuesday night, Lemon interviewed Joan Tarshis, a woman who recently went public with her accusation that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her in 1969.
During their exchange, Lemon questioned Tarshis on why she didn't bite Cosby and use her teeth "as a weapon" when he forced her to perform oral sex.

Are they talking violent "submit or die" rape (the traditional definition of rape)? Are they talking "I was drunk and would not have done it sober" "rape"? Are they talking "your career would benefit from being nice to me" sexual harassment "rape"?
Yes we do. The allegations are that he drugged them--with a laced drink or pills--and then molested and/or raped them.
It depends on if the rapist was getting her to submit by holding a knife to the back of her neck. If that was the case, then hurting him would have immediate negative impact to the biter.
I think I mentioned not being an authority on unarmed self defense. The only self defense advise I am qualified to give is: “buy a gun, learn how to use it, carry it”
But...The fact that a woman is being raped means that she is in a situation where someone bigger and stronger than her thinks he can get away with raping her. I’m thinking that would also cause him to think he can also get away with causing her great bodily harm. If she doesn’t have the tools, training, or whatever to win a fight, or at least get away, maybe fighting is not her best option great option. As to whether it’s reasonable to expect her to be able to bite him forcefully enough to incapacitate rather than just enrage him, I have no idea.
“earned Doctorate Degree in Education “
There is nothing earned about such as degree.
LOL!! You are of course correct.
Ditto on that. Clinton had plenty of similar accusations and the mainstream ignored it. And, I don’t watch CNN. Don Lemon, for one, is creepy, and two...the station is NOT about news. It is about a gay agenda and constant programs about anything about sex they can fine. It is the only thing that gets them ratings.
fine = find
You mean aside from rumors for years and a woman filing a police report in 2000 with a DA that wanted to prosecute the case believing him guilty but lacking concrete evidence, and another woman from 2004 having Cosby settle her case out of court after 10 women came forward willing to testify with their own stories in 2006?
This super warrior seems to be overlooking that this was a 19 year old girl with the famous and beloved and powerful Bill Cosby and it was a social setting until the assault started, it is bloody unlikely that she would go horror movie on him like he was a stranger that just dragged her into an alley.
People aren’t wired that way, assuming it happened, then she resisted and was forced to submit, and then buried it, which is very normal under the circumstances.
1969? Why is she speaking up now?
Because the stories have finally started breaking out after the media has managed to keep them tapped down for years.
Yep.
Seems I remember Cosby being referred to as Dr. William Cosby in the credits on The Cosby Show after his honorary degree but, had to go back to Bill Cosby after someone told him he wasn’t really a doctor.
He just played one on tv.
“What reaction do you think a rapist might have to you biting him?”
Probably scream a lot and beg for you to give him the severed part of his penis back, then eventually pass out from blood loss.
I guess I was wrong and he is guilty. Who wants to buy the rope?
Evidently you are wrong, you can defend him as innocent but you cannot pretend that this hasn't been out there for years, but he has been protected by the media.
Did any of the victims report the crimes to the police?
First off I would like to point out that the entire question is inappropriate. We’ve had lots of fun talking about whether this tactic would be effective. But the bottom line is that, assuming she’s telling a true story, he has no right to armchair quarterback her concerning her decision whether to fight or not. Now back to tactics:
“Probably scream a lot and beg for you to give him the severed part of his penis back, then eventually pass out from blood loss.”
Sure, assuming she’s a pit bull, but is that true for a human? People bite each others ears off all the time, but I can’t recall seeing a human bite mark that penetrated very far into the muscle. Does this happen? Do people bite each others penis off? Bottom line, in her situation, she would have to be pretty confident in the result before trying something that might just piss him off.
You are so sure about what you KNOW actually happened.
Where did he meet these women, did he drag them into a dark corner, assault them at night in a dark alley, break into their house?
No, they met him at bars and clubs, went with him to some other private place, then at some point, decided they didn’t want to have sex with him, and it became rape.
As much as I dislike and hate forcing oneself on somebody else, if you don’t want to be the target of a crime, don’t go with someone to a location where they can commit the crime.
And when did they decide it was rape, a week later when he wouldn’t see them again, a year later when another person brought up the charge, ten years later when there might be money in the making?
This is why the first prosecutor din’t go to trial. There was no evidence. And there ain’t no evidence now, just a lot of charges and innuendo.
And I do not think Bill Cosby is a great guy and a role model, he was stupid and seeking only his own gratification, but that does not make him a rapist.
Unless you support the idea that looking wrong at someone is rape, then go join the leftists who want to litigate thought crimes so they can make everyone a criminal.
A good journalist should never just assume he's being told the truth. If anything, he should assume he's being lied to. He should ask tough questions to determine which is the case.
