Michael Schuette, owner and operator of Outlaw Guns in Anniston, Alabama, has stirred a hornets' nest with his Facebook post on Veterans Day in which he slammed vets saying, "You are NOT hero's." [sic]

As the post began making the viral rounds Tuesday, threats to boycott Schuette's business began. According to YellowhammerNews.com, he and his wife are administrators of a 5,000-member Facebook group for their shop. The two also have a separate business website for the hydro-graphics side of their business. That site was also bombarded with threats of boycott.
Shortly after his initial rant -- which apparently he does every year -- he posted an update to his personal Facebook page:

Someone even uncovered a screenshot of a previous post where Schuette threatened violence against a local police officer, "badge or no badge."
By Wednesday, Schuette attempted an apology for his comments and begged for the threats, which apparently became more personal, to stop:

What a shitty human. One doesn’t make his candle brighter by blowing out another’s candle. If Schuette is on meds, should he be selling guns? If not on meds and should be, should he sell guns? I’ll bet he has garnered the trust of many men and women in his store. I would guess he is a open book to all he knows and hears to BATF. He is a mess.

This is old-fashioned far-left extremism, goes back to the sixties. This guy isn’t just saying military personnel aren’t heroes, he’s saying they are willing and evil tools of horrific tyrants, raining genocide on innocents for filthy lucre. This is Weathermen talk, blow up the Pentagon talk.
He has every right to say it, and people have every right to avoid doing business at Outlaw Guns if that pleases them. The threats should cease, that’s loser crud.
The only request I have for this thread... say what you will, be angry and let him know it, but please keep my son out of this.
I want to meet people that know how to use an apostrophe.

Many people who are economically successful use apostrophes improperly. Something that Ross Perot once said does come to mind. If we’re so smart, why ain’t we rich?

Sometimes it is a good idea to write a rant, reread it, and then pause and ask, “do I REALLY want to send this to the whole world?”
Then, do the smartest thing you can do, delete the rant and get on with your life rather than have a fecal storm descend upon you.

My apologies to have opened a wound. I am not angry.
You will note that my only comment was to post your son’s obituary, not as an attack, but to assist those who are attacking to seek understanding into an event that creates turmoil in any soul. It was posted only to provide those who are attacking with understanding, which is the foundation for compassion, which is the stepping stone toward forgiveness.
You will not find one comment from me that is an attack, even though I do not agree with your husband’s statements. I’ve been in the hot seat being attacked in the past and feel it was instrumental to my turning to God for strength and having more compassion with those who now occupy it.
