I'm a poll monitor in charlotte near the inc campus. Lines are around the building, all students. Judge says its as big if a turnout as 2012. Please vote even if you have to hold your nose!
I had to wait in line in okc. At one point the poll worker handed out ballots and pens and told us if we didn’t mind voting outside the little cubicle, we were welcome to mark our ballots on the open tables. I and several others did. I went ahead and glanced around to see most voting straight Republican.
Crowded in Kansas.
I should add, it’s cold and rainy here.
I also voted today at 5:00PM in a heavily Democrat-infested suburb of Pittsburgh (don’t know if it was the same one as yours).
I was number 141, whatever that means, but I appeared to be the only voter there at the time, and was heavily outnumbered by poll workers.
That is neat.
I voted just before noon in San Antonio. There was a steady stream of voters. I hope Republicans do well. If the Republicans succeed in taking control I hope they conduct themselves like adults and get things done. It’d be such a shame if they waste the momentum to take back our country.
Voted this afternoon. More poll workers than voters.
I live in Western PA. Neither senator is running, but we have a gubernatorial race plus a congressman and a few state legislature races. Except for governor, in all other races there are only unopposed Democrat candidates. So I don’t blame people here for not voting today.
Manhattan - nobody around at 2 PM. The ladies said there were lines before work, at 8 AM, but not much since. None of the races are really in any doubt.
Very heavy voting in my very small and very GOP Michigan precinct. I was voter 190 at 10:30 this morning. I just walked down there and there are still several voters voting.
The more moderate precinct about 100 yards away had one voter pull in while I was down that way.
Long line in West Texas. Got into a conversation with a woman in line that thought everyone in this area should be required to speak English and Spanish. When we got to the table that gave out the “I voted” stickers, the only ones available said “He votado”. I showed it to her and we both just laughed.
Here in a red part of Maryland, I went at 11 am and expected to be all alone voting. Instead, every booth was filled. No real line, but not empty spaces, either. The election judge told me business had been strong through the morning.
Crossing my fingers for a Hogan upset of the satanic machine in Maryland.
Champaign County Ohio precinct #15 voting steady. All booths full
Voted for Ed Gillespie about 1 pm in central Virginia. There was a very short line but a steady stream of voters. Seemed heavier than 2010.
Interesting that you had the same experience. When I heard about the light turn out, I thought maybe our experience was just an unusually busy day. We voted on the NW side of town.
I know when we voted in 2012 and 2010, we didn’t wait at all to vote, just walked right in.
Voted early 10 days ago, since I knew I would be halfway across the country today. My wife and I were the only voters at that moment.
But, we live in a solid red small city, in a mostly red Congressional district, in a majority red state. So, it was really not necessary.
smart enough to get into a university, for the sake of this country let’s hope they are smart enough to throw out the democrats if they want a viable future
I’m in NM and voted early but the turn out this morning was very large more than I’ve seen since they consolidated the polling places to 3 for the county.
Light turnout around 10:45 in Union County when #2 son and I voted. He was voter 270, iirc. It’s probably a lot busier now. We’re a big precinct and heavily Republican.
