I know baseball doesn't occupy the same level of pre-eminence that it may have had fifty years ago, but it is the championship, and it still a great game. Royals up 3-0 in the sixth. Great defense all around.

Limbaugh began his career in radio as a teenager in 1967 in his hometown of Cape Girardeau, using the name Rusty Sharpe.[5][8] Limbaugh graduated from Cape Girardeau, Missouri Central High School in 1969. He played football.[9][10]

Good game. I predicted KC in 5. What a bullpen they have.

I miss the sound of Vin Scully calling a Dodgers game over the radio while me and Grandaddy putter around in his shop.
Old times.....great memories.

I think he worked (after HS) for either KMBZ or KMBR. One of the stations he was fired from (which he often mentions)

Of course, if you are getting your information about the world series from this thread, you probably still have a rotary phone. !
You been looking through my windows or something?

You know, Vin Scully is still calling Dodger games, don’t you? Sixty five years and still a national treasure.

He was fired for using the word ‘therefore’. Johnny Fever was fired for using the word ‘booger’.

Royals get it done in game 3.
Paul Konerko (CWS) and Jimmy Rollins (PHI) co-winners of the Roberto Clemente award.
Joe “the alleged genius” Maddon opts out of his contract with Tampa. Cubs reportedly interested even though they didn’t fire Renteria yet.

Well said. The symmetry alone makes it the greatest sport ever. Some of the best years of my life were when my brothers and I played from the completion of mid-morning chores until sundown, summers of 1965-69.

I’m pretty sure that after the gay bow-tie guy interview during the FOX post-game, the announcer said “coming off that swish!”

Good game. I predicted KC in 5. What a bullpen they have.Yeah it was. 29 years of frustration but this team is playing very well. I hope they can keep it up.
Go Royals!

If it was up to me, they`d start the season in Mid-March and end it in Mid-September, with post season ending in Mid-October.
It is much easier to make schedules with early season play in summer climates and indoor stadiums than it is to predict who will earn a spot in post season.

Mid March?
We’d freeze to death in Fenway Park.
No thanks.
