Manning wasnt happy when the Broncos were trying to chew up the clock in the closing minutes and the Denver crowd was going crazy. That forced Manning to try to quiet down a stadium of 76,907 by himself, frantically waving his arms like a big bird, then shaking his head in disbelief.
...
Im not sure what hes doing, hes playing music and showing players dancing and getting the crowd fired up when we have the ball, Manning said. I dont think we should be doing that. I dont think we should be showing their quarterback on the sideline. I thought that was disrespectful.
...
Rivers wasnt as bothered.
I really dont know how to respond to that other than if you had told me when I was 10 years old they would show me in front of 75,000 and get booed and Peyton Manning in the same clip and get cheered, Id say thats pretty awesome, he said, according to the Denver Post.

shouldn’t have to do that at home. Nor should he make it public. Just get word to the guy and problem solved. The guy will probably be fired.
Slingin Sammy Baugh played a lil football
I don’t know much about Eli or Peyton but Archie was one heck of a QB.
My favorite all time Quarterback is Bart Starr.
Since 1998, Peyton Manning has had a public and private relationship with St.Vincent. On Sept. 5, 2007, the former Indianapolis Colts Quarterback reinforced his commitment to the children of Indiana by partnering with St.Vincent to announce the renaming of St.Vincent Children's Hospital to Peyton Manning Childrens Hospital at St.Vincent. Manning remains dedicated to the children of Indiana by promoting health programs and services, fundraising and advocating issues that affect pediatric patients.

too bad he’s a piss poor quarterbck!!!
Peyton is right but no need to fire the guy. Just tell him how it’s done.
BTW, a noisy home crowd is a long-time tradition in football. 12th man and all that.
I thought some Broncos players were being disrespectful by dancing on the sidelines near the end of the game. I also so plenty of handshakes and friendly slaps by opposing players after plays.
Rivers has definitely improved his behavior over time.
Having read all that you wrote on what the NFL should do... how about you just turn that garbage off. Screw football.
Never ever ever ever HAHAHA...sorry dfw, reliving some wonderful past memories.
The best way to quiet the home crowd is to score on offense and smash em in the mouth when on defense.
Being a Dallas fan, I would naturally not think much of Eli, but I have always liked Peyton. One of my good friends went to Old Miss with Archie and his now wife and the two women were in the same sorority. She says that they are two of the nicest, most down-to-earth people you would ever want to meet and they raised all three of their sons to be fine, upstanding young men. Although knowing that did make me feel a little more positive toward Eli, I would be happy if he never won another game!
Chief’s fans don’t need the scoreboard operator to tell us when to scream and when to be quiet. We know the game.

He was one tough and great player, no question about it!
Peyton Manning is, so far, the only starting Tennessee Vol qb to have ever lost to the University of Memphis Tigers. That loss cost him the Heisman Trophy that year.
The real Peyton Manning: https://screen.yahoo.com/snl-digital-short-united-way-000000258.html
I liked this about Manning. Both the defensive Denver players and the scoreboard operator were celebrating victory too early, with Denver on the field, and the clock still running. The game was 99% won, but it wasn’t 100% won, and Manning wanted it 100% finished. He was stil fighting till the clock ran out. That’s the attitude needed to win the Championship.
Manning is freaking amazing.
They are up by 3 touchdowns and he is still not going to celebrate. I don’t think he will ever celebrate even if he wins the Super Bowl.
He is possessed to always be better. I don’t think we have ever seen anyone like him.
Recently J Thomas said something about “this being so easy”, I assure you that Manning set him straight.
For Peyton, it truly is never over.
Usually Bronco fans are pretty smart too, but they had the defensive players and the scoreboard operator egging them on, and everyone knew, barring an incredible series of spectacular plays, that the Broncos would win at that point. But Manning is a machine, and this is actually a good incident to keep the players focused.
“Ah, here is a math question for you: Assuming that the crowd would never shut up then how many 15-yard penalties would it take to result in a safety or a touchdown in the other direction? ;-)”
Once inside the fifteen, the next penalty is to the 5, and the next is a touchdown. There is no kickoff, the ball is placed on the offending teams five yard line, first down. How many touchdowns till the crowd shuts up? Shouldn’t be more than one or two.
Alternatively, I’m not against a noise meter. When the noise exceeds a certain level, play is suspended until it drops below that level and remains there.
‘You would penalize the team on the field for what a board operator does? How about fining the board operator instead?”
Noise is only a factor for the home team so a penalty on the board operator is no different than a penalty on a member of the coaching staff.
