EXCLUSIVE-'It's murder & they'll feel the wrath of God's vengeance': Brown's family react angrily...
The London Daily Mail ^ | October 20, 2014 | Daniel Bates

The family of Michael Brown have said that the cop who shot him dead will 'feel the wrath of God's vengeance' after the officer claimed he was acting in self defense.

Sheryl Davis, Brown's aunt, told MailOnline that she believes Darren Wilson committed murder and that he will suffer retribution in a 'mighty way'.

She said that Wilson's actions were 'evil' and that he will be punished by a higher power for what he did - even if he is cleared.

Her comments are the most outspoken yet from Brown's family since Wilson's account of what happened was published in the New York Times at the weekend.

The testimony - and alleged forensic evidence - has been described by experts as helpful to his defense and has provoked fresh outrage from the teenager's family and supporters.

Wilson shot dead Brown, 18, on August 9, in Ferguson, a suburb of St Louis in Missouri, sparking nearly two weeks of violent protests and rioting....

.....sparking nearly two weeks of violent protests and rioting....

Two weeks????...Two weeks???

HAHAHAHAHAHA. How about two months when we include the fights and brawls outside after every ST Louis game. Great article of more downplay from the media.

If riots ensue I hope there are police snipers on the rooftops. They need to deliver a head shot to anyone with their pants hanging below their ass cheeks.

Oh, Lordy! That’s just great. Gave me a hearty and much needed “belly laugh”. My brothers and I still use quotes like that with each other. Old Looney Toons are the best cure when in need a good chuckle. Thanks.

Was she for or against the t-shirt sales?

(Reference to another FR article this morning about the Brown family getting into little tiff over who had the right to sell Michael Brown merchandise)

I believe that the Brown family is taking the name of God in vain.

They do not say anything about their boy being a criminal, and neither has the main stream media, for that matter. Their description of him was that he was a “Gentle Giant” full of love and spreading charity through the neighbor hood. Performing brain and heart transplants, developing a cure for cancer, and as another FReeper posted , the only violent act he ever committed was that one time he hit a high note during choir practice.

As long as these fools are relying on God to judge Wilson, they can say whatever they want.

Unfortunately, they probably will feel they should help God along.

I know the feeling. "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord" is probably the one thing is the Bible that I have the most trouble with. I constantly struggle, not against taking vengeance, which I don't, but in feeling comfortable with not doing so.

Somehow, I don't think that they will be so troubled.

While I will agree with you that the evidence is not all in yet, from early days there has been evidence in support of Wilson’s position. The BlackCanseco youtube video was up with in a few days; while people directly interacting with the guy filming tell the usual “cop just shot him for no reason” story, in the background there’s another conversation going on, where one guy who didn’t see what happened is asking another guy who did, and the guy who saw the shooting says that Brown was approaching the officer when shot. I put more faith in the version by people who didn’t realize they were being filmed than I do in the one people told the camera.

And, yes, if someone has already assaulted you, generally the law will support shooting that person if they keep approaching after you’ve told them to back off (varies some by state, but I would guess Missouri allows it). All Wilson had to show is that he reasonably feared for his life, which would not be difficult. As Mythbusters has shown, you CAN “bring a knife to a gunfight,” and win, if you’re close enough, and cops know that first hand. More people get killed in a year with someone’s bare hands than with a rifle; cops don’t buy into the whole, “unarmed equals not dangerous” thing.

The shot to Michael Brown’s head is completely consistent with someone falling through the line of fire. Wilson either ran out of bullets or was cooler than a lot of people shooting at someone; plenty of people who initially looked to be shot in the back, were actually facing the shooter to start with, it’s just that the shooter kept on shooting as they fell.

According to what’s been leaked, the shot to Michael Brown’s hand and maybe arm — one shot may have caused more than one wound, depending on his position at the time — is likely the result of the fight in the car. Various experts (the St. Louis M.E., forensic pathologist Judy Melinek) have said that the wounds are consistent with someone shot at extremely close range, which is consistent with Wilson’s claim that Brown was at times blocking him from shooting in the altercation when Brown was first shot.

Trust in God has been a problem since the first man...

helped along, of course, by His enemy.

Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another

The Browns must be Muslims.

No doubt about that.

Frankly, depending on how badly I’ve been hurt, I’ve gritted my teeth and prayed for the strength to forgive for from 2 minutes to 2 years. In the latter case, I’m not sure that I have truly forgiven the person even yet, 14 years later. But the anger has passed.

Blacks are allowed to do whatever they want and are above criticism. Whites must toe the line. If a black says a white is guilty, they’re guilty. That’s the mindset.

In contrast, there is a video of construction workers raising their hands in disbelief after the shooting mimicking Brown’s hands were up. Again, various witness statements, statements that the cop deliberately slammed door into Brown while opening it, etc for what it’s worth.

To shoot an unarmed person depends on the assault, disparity of force, etc. Questions will be asked about de escalation what other options available against an unarmed assailant.

It’s my understanding now powder residue was found in the gunshot on Brown’s hand, meaning there was close contact and struggle in car with gun going off along with Brown’s tissue on car’s exterior. Nothing determined if he was high from marijuana.

Questions remain on bullet wounds at a downward angle, he’s either falling or on his knees, yet no abrasions on knees if one was in a charge, and at what distance? HOw many total rounds fired?

Who knows lots of speculation and this could fall either way as justifiable or not.

The forensics can tell us a lot. What I most want to see is a map, with many of the cones you could see in the pictures marked. If some of those cones marked cartridges, they could indicate that Wilson was retreating as he shot, and if Brown’s body is past or very near to any of those, it’d make it clear he was moving forward.

Despite many people’s opinions, whether Michael Brown had his arms up or not is entirely beside the point. If he was advancing on Wilson, Wilson could justifiably perceive that as a threat, no matter what Brown was otherwise doing or saying. In the eyes of most cops, Wilson has a responsibility to defend, not just himself, but his gun; if he had reason to think Brown might go after the gun, then any approach by Brown is an aggressive act.
