The number of people impacted grows by orders of magnitude..

Common sense isn’t.

Criminey, I’ve had a rare but crummy chest cold and haven’t gone anywhere in a week, including a meeting and a formal dinner. What is so hard about taking precaution?

I doubt if this is Ebola. I think it’s great that Belize and the owner of the cruise ship are following the rules of common sense and sticking it to Obola and the CDC. How many more of these idiots in Dallas have been traveling?

I always purchase travel insurance when I am on a cruise or vacationing away from America. I know a pilot, who went to the islands to do some deep sea diving, who had to be repatriated after being shot and his family had to cough up $20,000.

And family knows not to contact me if they don’t purchase it and need help.

Thank goodness they don’t have an incompetent minister of health like Dr. Frieden or they would be screwed right now. For those of you insisting this isn’t Ebola, how do you know that? Right now nobody knows how deadly this particular strain of Ebola is and it’s very troubling.

First of all the govt is lying about the number of Ebola patients in the US. There are about a dozen today. Might even double today. They are waiting until after the election to really respond to this crisis.

I just flew yesterday and two African men were talking and the one guy said that the airport reminded him of the Liberia airport! Close the damn border Obama you racist azzho1e!

What are the symptoms of Ebola before a fever sets in? Feeling a little under the weather? Occasional yawning? From what I’ve heard the symptoms are non-specific viral symptoms (fever, malaise, nausea) until it advances to its hemorrhagic phase.

Noro virus, Sea sick, Sun stroke, hangover?

Our healthcare system is about to be overrun at every level by irrational fear.

Her cruise was probably booked a year ago with a hefty deposit, and my understanding is that this was not a nurse in actual contact with Duncan, but a lab worker who handled vials of his blood.

The article is fraught with contradictions, and the headline is an OUTRIGHT lie. But I’m opinionated? The guy wasn’t in contact with Duncan. It’s HIGHLY unlikely he has Ebola.

Yes, but this is what Obama has brought us.

To the rest of the world, the US has become a potential "hot zone". Anyone that exhibits the symptoms is suspect, and will be treated accordingly.

Until the US institutes effective border controls to keep out people that may have been exposed to Ebola, visitors to the US will be treated like we are potential carriers.

a Dallas nurse who should have been in “self quarantine” heads off a on a CRUISE SHIP???
seriously!

oh we know - this is what the CDC called the “low risk” pool, the ones they are’t monitoring, the “low risk” pool that has produced both of the ebola nurses

wtf is wrong with the CDC??? and with the management of that dallas hospital????? the perfect storm of arrogance and idiocy

story says the individual had exposure to Duncan’s “specimens”

could be blood lab or other

could get infected from what is inside the tube or what is on the outside of the tube, touched by the worker who brought it to the lab

remember, nurses claim Duncan was not in isolation for many hours after being admitted to ER, what’s the first thing they do in ER? Draw labs

Most of the phlebotomists in Liberia are dead, so I’ve read

Thanks for posting those links.

From the Washington Post link this also caught my eye:

"Duncan died at the Dallas hospital Oct. 8. It’s not certain what kind of lab specimen the hospital worker may have handled. Ebola is transmitted through bodily fluids such as vomit, urine, saliva, sweat, feces, breast milk and semen. And it’s not clear what, if any, protective gear he or she was not wearing at the time of contact."

When the CDC handles or works with infectious specimens they wear full body hazmat suits. Anyone want to bet this person was not.

This may not be Ebola, however, the risk of a nightmare scenario is staggering when it comes to a cruise ships. Something tells me that industry is about to get hammered.

Cruise industry along with the airline industry.

All part of the plan.

Thanks, 0bola!

Quick! Put them on a bus. According to the Minister of Health and Propaganda, Dr. Frieden, you can’t catch Ebola from someone on a bus. Buses may be the key to stopping this thing.

It is a slam dunk she was only wearing gloves and maybe safety glasses. No way she was wearing even the limited PPE the attending nurses were wearing.
