To every single human being I have seen cutting across multiple lanes to rush to their highway exit: this could happen to you.
Amazingly the person driving this Ford Focus, 25-year-old Jasmien Claeys, survived the multiple-impact wreck. As Carscoopsreports, she told Belgian HLN that the crash put her in a coma, shattered her hand, and broke her top two vertebrae, but she is recovering.

Always have an exit plan.
I drive around 120 miles a day. I see stupid human tricks ALL the time.
I see idiots do this every day, too impatient to wit behind slower traffic for their exit or not paying attention to where they are and cut across three or for lanes of traffic and put countless others at risk.
Dumb@$$.....
I spent 5 years in EMS.
That was impressive.
Where did the dash cam come from? Was a cop following this driver?
There is ALWAYS another exit just ahead. YOu can turn around and comeback alot safer than trying to make a “missed” exit.
Ouch!
Semi-conscious = an awareness of large trucks....

Appears to be dash cam from another semi truck cab from the height of view.
Amazing how the concept of just going to the next exit escapes so many drivers. It’s a pet peeve of mine. Idiotic. Needless. Dangerous. Stupid.
I recently saw a guy in one of those little cars do the same thing, he went around me in the slow lane only to find a 50 ton crane going 10 miles an hour uphill, needless to say his car was completely squished like an accordion. I was going 70 he must of been doing 85
Wow...as if the initial crash isn’t bad enough (probably dead right then), the truck with the camera runs OVER the car. The camera even bounces a final time as the rear trailer wheels run over what’s left.
I’ve seen some spectacular accidents with cars flying and spinning through the air, but I don’t think anyone was seriously hurt. There’s nothing more important or rewarding than patience on the roads. Saving ten seconds on your commute isn’t worth the risk.
Not using indicators is an everywhere thing. Here in the land of Ma$$holes the big things are passing at high speed in the right hand lane and tailgating. The newest brain-dead stunt to hit the streets is driving 100+mph during rush hour.

The Focus must be a pretty safe car.
They generally get stiffer the more they get folded up.
