FULL TITLE: Panic at London hospital after suspected Ebola patient arrives at A&E: Medical staff 'scared to go near man but let him use a communal toilet and have visitors

For most "healthcare Workers" in the west, it is a JOB, not a crusade they are willing to die for, or risk killing their own families.

Most "crusades" we puny humans start out on DO end up as just a job. However, I worked for FIFTY years and ONLY lost enthusiasm in that 50th year. My "Crusade" had reached its end. It does happen, finally. But, then I wasn't in the medical field. I might not have lasted so long after having to deal with the sick and dying for that length of time.

That HAS to happen to the police too, dealing with nothing but the scum of the earth for a living.
Better them than me.

Well, looks like others have spent their time mocking the Keystone Cops in Dallas rather than learning from their mistakes, so it’s going to happen again and again. Schadenfreude would be in order if it weren’t so potentially deadly.

Don’t go home if it’s a risk to your family. Quit if you are too big a coward to do the job. It had to have been difficult treating people with polio, smallpox etc.

Just a foreshadowing what’s getting ready to happen in the U.S.

The problems with things like Ebola is that they grow exponentially. Even if Ebola grows slowly to start with, unfortunately, we ain’t seen nuttin yet. Just wait until flu and norovirus season hits to see what a completely paralyzed nation that battens down the barricades REALLY looks like as millions have symptoms that are much like how Ebola starts off!

The trenches of our medical system are completely unprepared for something like this. And thank you, President Obola for your “fundamental transformation” when flu season hits!

Oh, and PLEASE let’s keep those West African shuttles flying back and forth, since obviously it would do no good anyway with your open borders policy. Oh, and everyone? Be sure to vote a straight Democrat ticket in November: they really DO care about you folks, ya’ll hear? After all:

“Now, I am not on the ballot this fall,” Obama stressed. “... But make no mistake: My policies are on the ballot — every single one of them.” (Including unrestricted West African air flights.)

Yet, our CDC claims any ol’ podunk hospital can handle Ebola. Never mind those hospitals don’t have Level 4 facilities, equipment and trained personnel. If this spreads, there will be US healthcare workers who will walk off the job and refuse to treat suspected cases. The reason we have to send troops and doctors to Liberia is because their hcw have quit. IIRC, a month ago there were only like 50 Liberian doctors still working. And today they were going to go on strike though that may be smoothed over.

There's NOT panic.... health care workers don't want to die for medical refugees from Africa... They don't have the proper equipment to treat these people - and their political leaders don't have the sense to stop ebola carriers from entering the country.

NO - it is NOT the responsibility of the world to be FORCED to take care of Africans or anyone else for that matter.

A London hospital was totally unprepared when a suspected Ebola patient walked into A&E, it was claimed today.

If only these hospitals were run by the government. Oh, wait.

Would it make sense to have central clearing places for anyone with flu like symptoms before sending them to hospitals?

Well, there it is, in this thread. Some doctors and nurses are going to refuse to treat Ebola patients. We’ve also seen the same from other reports on nurses’ unions’ protests and complaints. It’s likely that police and other recipients of government-derived incomes and judicial immunities will avoid their duties in an epidemic.

Our nation is morally bankrupt. Pray the outcry. Have fun. Enjoy the slide.
