Freeper Gefn is in the ER with possibly failing kidneys. She contacted me to ask for your prayers. She'd also appreciate it if you'd post any favorite LOLcritters you might have - she's alone and scared and in a lot of pain, and she really loves them.
Behind The Curtain
Rainbows are circles. They dont have an end.
Their shimmering substance is only pretend.
We see them appear like a cloud in the sky,
But we dont seem to notice how quickly they die.
They go out like a light when conditions have changed,
When the raindrops have stopped, or the Sun rearranged,
The illusion is shattered, and the show is now closed,
And no one has seen the great hand interposed.
Theyve watched and applauded, and all got their worth,
Of a show that can be simulcast all over Earth,
They will smile, and head homeward but one things for certain,
Theyll pay no attention to the Man behind the curtain.

(Stick around for your science lessons.)
Lord Jesus Christ, ease the suffering of Thy servant and bring her healing.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Hi, Gef! I think that opiates slow your gut action down so it makes it harder to pass gas. (Slings, please correct me prn.) If you can’t get up and move around, maybe you can contract and relax your abdominal muscles periodically if that isn’t too painful. (Getting up without assistance isn’t advisable because the morphine might affect your balance.) There are stimulant and irritant meds they can give you to help your gut move but what they prescribe is limited by constraints with respect to your situation. Otoh, those drugs can give you painful cramps. If it isn’t contraindicated, maybe you can gently massage your abdomen. Please ask the doc before you do anything. Prayers continuing.
Praying for Gefn. You are not alone.
Do you think it might be gallbladder?
If you can, walk.
Agreed on all counts.
Adding prayers
You’re a good poet. :-) I hope the poems are cheering up Gefn, too.
A Walk With God
God and I were walking,
Along the endless sands,
Of the beaches of forever,
On my familiar span.
I had a million questions,
He had one answer, "Yes!"
Whatever's not a small reward,
Is just a simple test.
I try to walk here every day.
We watch the time and tide.
The rhythm of days is lulling,
Just I, and with Him beside.
I have no fear of fortune,
As We are walking here,
For peace and joy encompass me,
Because my God is near.

She is back to work now(nurse)and doing just fine(been a few years)I think she just has to watch what she eats now.
Prayers up for a speedy recovery
Still bad, but not as bad as was previously thought!
Hang in there Gefn, we’ll still be here when you are able to be here!
Downside: no more walnuts, popcorn, trail mix, broccoli.....
Dad liked to say he looked like an orangutan.
Thanks! Prayers continuing.
