and it showed that she has diverticulitis. She's being treated, and they hope to send her home on Monday afternoon.

Gefn's still not up to much posting, but she's getting better and misses her FRiends. On the bright side, she had a visitor today:

Desi looks identical to my Dad's dog Joey. Apparently part Springer spaniel, he was a bouncy thing with an amazing leap. He would crawl into Dad's lap and cuddly like a huge baby.

Dad liked to say he looked like an orangutan.

Thanks for the update. Hope she’s back on FR soon. Back in 2010, I ended up in the emergency room with a perforated bowel caused by diverticulitis. Had to have a temporary colostomy, which was fortunately reversed three months later. It was not a pleasant experience, nor was the third surgery I had to undergo to repair an incisional hernia where the previous two surgeries had been. I still have to watch what I eat.

Gefn, I have a friend whose husband has diverticulitis. He’s a very active guy, he gets along fine...just has to watch his diet. Don’t worry, you’re going to be fine.
