Used and refurbished musical instruments, Judaica, Brass from the Holy Land, Candles, Leather, and collectable China.
Also Harley parts, Pro-audio equipment, and ethnic art.
I had a cool little store and had wonderful reviews from my customers.
And, from the get-go, eBay has treated me with something that looks, feels, and tastes like CONTEMPT. They would tell me I charged too much for shipping, that I didn’t include enough details in my listing, that my prices were too high, that I should offer free shipping, on and on, day after day.
Remember...eBay takes no fee from the buyer. Only the seller pays fees. And if you try to work the fees into your price structure, they flag your listing and tell you you are charging too much for the item.
I am really sick of it. Today’s “New Seller Standards” were the last straw.
But, I’m free at last! Free at last!...You know the rest. LOL.

In The Storm
Oct 2, 2014
Read: Mark 4:35-41
A storm was brewingnot just on the horizon but also in a friends home. When I was in Hong Kong, she shared, the local meteorological service announced that there was a superstorm approaching. But more than the storm that was looming outside my window, there was a storm brewing at home. While my dad was in the hospital, family members were trying to balance their home and work responsibilities while also traveling to and from the hospital. They were so tired that patience was wearing thin, and the situation at home was tense.
Life can feel like a stormtossing us around with winds of misfortune, grief, or stress. Where can we turn? When Jesus disciples were caught in a great windstorm and wondered if He cared, they still knew where to turn. He demonstrated His power by calming the howling storm (Mark 4:38-39).
But often He does not calm the storm immediately. And, like the disciples, we may feel that He doesnt care. To calm our fears, we can cling to faith in who God is and what He can do. We can take shelter in Him (Ps. 91:1). We can find His help to relate to others with grace. We can rest in an all-powerful, all-wise, and all-loving God. He is with us in the storm and cradles us through the storm.
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of the ocean, and earth, and skies. Baker
One need not cry out very loudly; He is nearer to us than we think. Brother Lawrence
Todays passage from Mark recounts an incredible display of Jesus power. As the Lord of creation (Col. 1:15-17), Christ had the right and the authority to instruct the wind and the waves and have them obey Him. Yet this miracle caused the disciples to fear greatly, which prompted Jesus statement in verse 40. The disciples feared the storm more than they trusted the one who was with them in the boat. Jesus tells them (and us) to trust what we have seen in Him to get us through both the literal and metaphorical storms of life.

Happy Thankful Thursday, FRiends.
We met with a Freshman counselor last night.
Marissa has 3 'C's and 5 'A's. I'm thankful for no 'D's.
Looks like she will be allowed to attend the dance Friday night.
Another late night for me. *sigh*
Have a Terrific Thankful Thursday.

Thank you for today's ODB Rus.
Like the disciples, we need to have faith in who God is and what He can do.
Bless you, Mayor for bringing us these scripture lessons.

5 A’s and 3 C’s?
Perhaps the C’s are in related subjects like science or math? Some kids are better at some subjects than others, and maybe Marissa can get remedial help on the three subjects that are troubling her.
I used to get ALL A’s EXCEPT for a D in Math.
I just hated math! :-)

Marissa has always had trouble with math. She just doesn't get it. The new teaching method is so weird that there is no way I can help her.
I learned last night that a math tutor is available after school 3 days a week. I'm going to insist that she forget some of the social stuff and go to the available tutors.
Her ‘A's are in choir (surprise?), art(surprise?), social studies, computer literacy and PE. I think the 'C' in English is due to lack of studying. Grades are not posted until January and there will be two more reviews before then.

I hate the new math even more than I hated old math!
I often tutor my students in English and History.
I wish I could help them with math, but today’s methods do not accept even the correct answer UNLESS you arrive at it THEIR way! grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Happy Thankful Thursday to Amy’s Place!
I am thankful today, that my greenhouses are being hauled away. I sold them to a well known Wisconsin company called Jungs Seed Co. By Friday, all the pieces will be gone.
Thus starting a new chapter for me. I am happy to do so.
Cheers

Happy Thursday Amy! Go and enjoy Marissa’s dance, it’s something you’ll always enjoy looking back on. When my twins were in school I was a chaperone for all kinds of activities and trips. Those were good times!
