Is FreeRepublic Pro Harry Reid?
Vanity | 9/17/2014 | Vanity

A very disturbing number of Freepers are openly advocating, on Free Republic threads, for the defeat of Senator Pat Roberts and other good Conservative Republicans. Greg Orman, in Kansas, is a pro abortion, anti gun, tax and spend Liberal Democrat who has given tens of thousands of dollars to Obama and Pelosi and the Democrat Party and Harry Reid. I am called an "idiot" for supporting Roberts. However, I think that those on Free Republic who support Harry Reid and Greg Orman should be ZOTTED, kicked off the site. I have had enough of there hate filled, vindictive, misguided trash.

“Citizen, I posted about my particular situation, did I not? I told you I wasn’t trying to tell you how to vote.”

Fair enough. We both probably think about the morality of these things far more often than most voters. Voting for a lesser evil is a tough call, and I wouldn’t do it if I felt it was sin. I really just want the Lord’s will to be done.

Ok, so she (may have) cited a dubious source to defend Rick Perry. I understand the desire to defend Perry. He's not that bad, though he could use improvement.

Citing a dubious source to defend her governor does not make her pro-illegal. I know from actual conversations, in-person, what her views are on the topic.

I, myself, have used NYT and Washington Post articles to make a particular point. Does that make me a pro-Obama, gun-hating liberal?

“We NEED a conservative candidate or we’ll lose.”

I think that’s true regardless of the topic of this thread. Not enough people are willing to hold their noses any longer. Republican Party be warned!

Yes. Many of us have had enough of the current Republican party, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Romney, McCain, losers with no moral compass.

Dumb thing to say. Politicking for motivations unknown. However, taken as a whole, I still like Rick.

EV: “The proper question, in my opinion, is “what are your non-negotiables?””

That is a good question. I always thought abortion was non-negotiable, but I can see how that could lead to even more abortions. I did vote for Romney in the general election and didn’t feel spiritually convicted by that vote. However, I’m pretty sure he’s pro-abortion. I just don’t think he’d promote it and pay for it like President Obama.

As I wrote, I just want the Lord’s will to be done, and politics will always fall short of that. What am I to do? Jesus isn’t on the ballot.

You are a seriously confused fellow. What do I have to do with California? I have lived in Connecticut until 2000 and in Illinois (very rural and very Republican NW Illinois) ever since retiring.

We had a seriously conservative and seriously Republican local Congressman (Don Manzullo) until, after 20 years of mostly quiet and diligent service to his constituency and to conservative principles in the House, Don ran afoul of Boehner and Cantor and McCarthy by sending a letter to Boehner late in 2011, asking that Boehner call Congress back into session and pass a resolution telling Obozo that there would be no FUTURE raises in the debt ceiling so long as he was POTUS. The US Chamber of Crony Socialism had a collective stroke over that suggestion and provided Eric Cantor and his "Young Guns" PAC with about $600,000 in Texas Construction $$$$ to fund a primary by then freshman congresswhore and now our new congressthing Adam Suckup Kinzinger, a Chicagoland member, to take out Don Manzullo who had been running unopposed. They moneybombed Don out of Congress. I will vote for Kinzinger about the same time that I vote for Romney. NEVER.

If you vote for the corrupt, you ARE corrupt.

When I don't vote for an office, I preserve my conservatism because I will not vote for whores just because they have an R after their names on the ballot. It is the people who compulsively vote for whores who have no business calling themselves conservative. I cannot harm you. However, when you allow your love idol, the GOP, to nominate whores, you hurt yourself because there will be no major party candidate worth voting for.

I personally hope that my congresswhore Kinzinger runs for a higher office and has his clock cleaned and that here in IL 16, we can elect any one of a number of promising young State Reps to the Congressional seat and put a photo of Don Manzullo on the wall of his office to remind the new Congressman to be ever vigilant of whores with knives behind one's back. Maybe Don can chair the new guy's campaign committee.

Primary out entrenched beltway boys? What are Eric Cantor's legislative plans as Majority Leader next year? This year? Oh, that's right! As to the rest of the trash, rule or ruin. Make their lives intolerable until they quit because it just isn't worth it any more.

Bad corrupt Republicans losing makes it easier to bring their offices into the conservative column. Sometimes you cannot keep the seat. In Connecticut, it was better to defeat Lowell Weicker's bid for a fourth term and replace the pig with a decent man like Joe Lieberman even though the state has become extreme Demonrat. The Demonrats tried to take Lieberman out with a virtual communist Ned Lamont. Joe won his fourth term and then retired. Connecticut now has as its governor Danell Malloy (whose parents apparently could not spell Daniel as their son cannot add up the state budget). Connecticut is on a pace to elect Tom Foley as its next GOP governor. Not perfect but not Myth Romney either.

What you need to learn is that it is ideas and principles that count. Loyalty to a political party, as such, is mental illness. I am not hurt and I am not "burned." I am pissed off now and forever at phonies passing themselves off as Republicans or conservatives who care not a whit for principles and ideas. It is a failing of Federalist/Whig/GOP "pros to think that it should matter who gets the jobs and the contracts, i.e. who gets the moolah. Take away the cash that is their god.

If you think that voting for McCain, Romney, Boehner, McConnell and their acolytes makes you a conservative, get therapy and re-connect with reality.

“Jesus on the ballot” is a straw man.

You admit that Romney is pro-abortion. But you admit to no conviction about voting for him.

So, killing millions of babies is obviously negotiable for you.

Thank God, some of us have said: “Hell no! We’ve caught on and we’re not taking your crap anymore and we will not vote for your sorry a**.”

Yep. With "Republicans" like Romney and Co., for the left it's heads they win, tails we lose.

Took me almost 30 years to figure it out.

It was well beyond dumb, it was completely asinine, say nothing of being totally untrue. The 2016 Republican nominee will need to pound Hillary on her abysmal performance as SoS. Perry cannot do that because he has already said publicly that she was "Great!". Score one for Hillary.

And what’s to like? Perry is no conservative. A real conservative would not have praised Hillary.

Nor would a real conservative have worked to keep Ted Cruz from going to Washington.

Nor would a real conservative have opposed a border fence.

Nor would a real conservative have tried to impose a nanny-state executive order to force females to have injections of unwanted, unnecessary and unproven vaccination.

A real conservative would not have endorsed for reelection the man who has waged war on the TEA Party, RINO Mitch McConnell. Perry did. Is Rick Perry a TEA Party conservative? If so, why did he join the fight against them?

A real conservative would have welcomed Sarah Palin’s support in the senatorial race for Texas. Perry told her to stay out of it.

A real conservative would not give taxpayer-subsidized financial aid and instate tuition to ILLEGAL aliens.

A real conservative would not characterize as having “no heart” the conservative voting base who opposed such handouts for ILLEGAL aliens.

Perry is no conservative and his record proves it. You can like him all you want, but we should pray voters do not give him the nomination. He doesn’t deserve it, and he would be a disaster.

I like the part best where Black Elk wraps you up in your own shorts. You know,..... where he points to that mantra of yours— “Vote for any POS with an R stuck to his name”, carved in your forehead. Case closed.

LOL!

Trying to unload that old canard for the next two years should really be a lot of fun for you.

I really think Fauxcahantas is going to be the nominee in 2016. So Perry wouldn’t have any baggage against her. There isn’t anything new and exciting about Hillary! anymore. Nothing to dazzle the zombie voters.

With that said I prefer Ted Cruz make no mistake.

CitizenUSA:

IF ifinnegan did not vote for Myth Romney, all he/she has to do is say so. If a near absolute leftist is the best major party candidate available, then one should vote third party or not at all.

Romney is an absolute pro-abort and always has been since a cousin of his died in an illegal botched abortion in about 1962 rather than either use birth control or take time off from college to bear the child (and give it up for adoption?). His father was a pro-abort. His mother campaigned for the Senate as a pro-abort BEFORE Roe vs. Wade.

Romney enthusiastically favors gay everything. When the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court somehow "discovered" that the Massachusetts Constitution written by John Adams, the Elder, actually guaranteed a right to gay marriage (imagine John Adams' surprise at this discovery) but left it to the legislature to deal with the details, Myth immediately swung into action and ordered town clerks to issue "gay""marriage" licenses immediately or be sued by his office.

Did Myth or any other known male member of his family ever serve in the US military in war or in peace? No.

Is Myth the grandfather of Obozocare by his program of Romneycare? Did Romneycare ever require funding of abortion and transgender surgeries? Yes on all counts.

Those who whine that conservatives refusing to vote for Myth Romney elected or wanted to re-elect Obozo are saying that we OWE our votes to the GOP's company store. We don't. We won't. If the GOP wants our votes, it damn well needs to learn that the GOP won't get them unless and until it nominates candidates WORTH VOTING FOR IN THEIR OWN RIGHT. It is not enough not to be a Demonrat.

When Myth Romney runs against Obozo Or, God forbid, Slick Hilly, the best candidate is inevitably a third party candidate or none at all.

10%, 20%, 30%??? To stop a 0% enemy? They are all enemies. The answer is NO!

I wasn't asking you to agree. What I have done is note that when challenged to defend the man you say you like you could not do so. Neither could your friend, the one you defended in this thread.

Have a nice night.

I prefer Ted Cruz also. If La Raza Rick Perry had his way Cruz would never have made it to Washington.

I find it interesting how so many "conservatives" are willing to overlook that.
