Not long ago, I watched a program by the Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan, about the Pit bull and about its American heritage and place in our homes and in our history.

Then, it's like everything changed and the pit bull's image and status were transformed and inverted into the opposite. It struck me that so much is like that for US now.

This sort of change is a common thread in our nation, national identity and culture, our ideals, symbols, you name it, all under a similar sort of dilution or polar opposite transformation.

After watching Cesar's program, I see the pit bull as both an example that Reagan's warning was correct and that he was an optimist. Never a generation away, best case.

Pit bull advocates be darned! Just had a potty go after one of my dog walkers dog. Her toy poodle needed 14 stitches at the throat! Many of these pits turned in for adoption have undisclosed history. Like Chows they can be very hard to read.

My daughter has a big white pit bull....and a teacup yorkie

Axle is very protective of the yorkie

He was raised from birth with her

And. He is extremely dog aggressive with other big males

I never take my dog to PetsMart unless he is staying at the Pet Hotel or being groomed. I’ve seen too many dumbasses at PetsMart with Pits and other bully breeds they can scarcely control; not to mention obnoxious little yappers. There is no reason for my dog (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) to accompany me when I am shopping. I know “pets are welcome” there, but I see no point in it.
