St. Louis Rams rookie defense lineman Ethan Westbrooks made the final 53-man roster on Saturday, beating out Michael Sam for one of the team's final spots...
Westbrooks told ESPN's Nick Wagoner that he got a tattoo below his eye in 2011 because he never wanted to get a normal job again. Making it in the NFL would be the only way to prevent him from becoming "a guy that has a tattoo on his face looking for another job." ...

His father must be proud of him.
He’s not a long term planner. Is he going to be in the NFL forever? Probably a few years, maybe ten tops.
He was an undrafted rookie free agent and he beat out Sam. That tells you how impressed the Rams were with Sam.
Why you never see anyone listed as NFL wide reciever/astro physicist.
Your tattoo looks stupid (yes, YOURS).
That tells you how impressed the Rams were with Sam.
...no, it actually tells you how great a camp Westbrook had...because Sam had a pretty decent showing in camp also...
The Rams bent over backwards to make Sam work out but it just wasn’t the right fit.
Why doesn’t he just get a tattoo on his face that says “My IQ is 3”?
Ryan Fitzpatrick’s Economics degree at Harvard should serve him well after NFL. He was a seventh rounder made good. The Rams also had Rhodes scholar Pat Haden.
And odds are that he won’t save and spend his money wisely, either.
Well he’ll be able to afford getting removed.
If Obama had a son...........................
You’ll find a lot of degrees in the MLB.
One decent contract and he’ll be set for life.
Why didn’t he just get a black stripe tattooed below each eye?
Then he’d be all set to play football every day all the time.
We almost got a pro-football president.
Gerald Ford:
“He received offers from two professional football teams, the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers, but chose instead to take a position as boxing coach and assistant varsity football coach at Yale hoping to attend law school there.”
He’s a marginal player... a seventh rounder who took Gay Sam’s place. Unless he’s a hidden talent, he’ll get a near minimum contract. For most of us, that would be a great job, but he’s likely to have it for a short period. I doubt he’ll be set for life. Many big bucks players can’t hang on to the money... he’s not showing signs of being different, and he’ll have a lot less to hang on to.
I actually met and spoke with him at length at the Shrine Game last January- he’s a nice kid who’s determined to play pro-football..
