McDonalds, Wendys and other fast-food restaurants are expected to be targeted with acts of civil disobedience that could lead to arrests Thursday as labor organizers escalate their campaign to unionize the industrys workers.
Kendall Fells, an organizing director for Fast Food Forward, said in an interview that workers in a couple of dozen cities were trained to peacefully engage in civil disobedience ahead of this weeks planned protests.
Fells declined to say what exactly is in store for the protests in around 150 U.S. cities. But workers involved in the movement recently cited sit-ins as an example of strategies they could use to intensify their push for higher pay and unionization. Past protests have targeted a couple of restaurants in each city.

LOL back in the 80s there was a satirical short story called GM Burgers where GM went into the fast food business and had UAW workers.
Needless to say it didn’t end well.
True, but based on the astounding number of restaurants (fast food, fast casual, and casual, most of which have stayed in business a decade or more, in our small burg, nobody must eat at home anymore.
Thus, Obama is backing off of national security announcements in favor of domestic. And many of the domestic headlines will be geared toward the blacks.
But I agree...many people don't cook anymore...and if they do it's pre-packaged and ready to go.
“The formula used in Ferguson, will be used nationwide. The Commies live on violent revolution.”
IIRC, the violent revolution dreams of commies in L.A. were found to be subordinate to American property rights and the 2nd Amendment - at least that’s what the Korean merchants demonstrated at that Urban Feral Ball.
Most people don’t know how to cook from scratch anymore.
They think gravy comes from a jar. :(
do it...
I can live without McD’s
And in other news, the race for fast food automation continues apace promising fast, delicious, customized food at reasonable prices...
That looks disgusting. I haven’t eaten a McDonald’s or Burger King burger since the ‘80s. If I’m going to spend money on a burger, I will go to a decent chain restaurant or a local eatery but not them. Grilling outside at home is still tops with me.
Good one. I’m sure I can come up with something she’d like.
We haven’t bought McDonald’s ever since the Chick-Fil-A moved in. It’s a little pricier, but it’s delicious. As far as I’m concerned, their owner’s politics are a bonus. They could be kicking puppies in the back and we’d still go there.
A lot of females don’t know how to cook anymore-—they have no interest in doing so. Their mothers never taught them the basics. They’d rather go out to eat or have takeout.
And baking? That’s archaic. /s
Yep...that’s how I see it too. Some of the mom-pop places still left today are fabulous if you can find them.
Dear McD employees,
Your french fries suck
Your milk shakes have no milk
And don’t even get me thinking about pink slime and
what a chicken nugget looks like under a microscope
I’m not lovin’ it
Give me another reason to skip Mickie D’s
Please!
LOLOLOl......Oh I agree!
I use to love McD’s French Fries.....til they changed the oil to whatever the disgusting stuff they’re cooking it in. We use to get them just for snacking.... No more...no thanks!
....”Obama is backing off of national security announcements in favor of domestic. And many of the domestic headlines will be geared toward the blacks”....
I would suspect ‘the Democrats’ are on his butt to garner the voters...which as you said means he has to focus on domestic issues now. But he’s got to grab something else in his bag besides health insurance and wages....too many are on to the “lies” anymore....not that that would deter them.
That’s wonderful. Those girls will know the satisfaction of preparing a good meal for their families, and they’ll probably be much better informed about nutrition. Needless to say, the guys benefit, too. Everybody wins. :)
