A day after Michael Sam was released by the St. Louis Rams, he remained unclaimed by any other NFL team.
Under the leagues waiver process, any team could have claimed him for its 53-player final roster, but none has done so. That means that Sam, the 249th pick in the seventh round of the NFL draft, is now free to sign on as a practice-squad player with any team, although the Rams would seem to be the most likely to add him to the 10-player practice squad. Even if he does sign with the Rams, itll be tough for him to get onto the field, though, given the teams depth on the defensive line. Still, Sam, trying to be the first openly gay player on an NFL regular-season roster, made a favorable impression on the Rams.

“Washington Post....did they mention the Redskins?”
There’s a solution for everything.
The Washington Redskins become the Washington Foreskins.
Sam is in as a natural. He may not be a starter, but you can bet he’ll be a finisher.
Problem/solution.
The fact that he was SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, said more about how bad SEC defenses were last year, than how good Sam was.
Dime to a dollar, espn picks him up to work with them.
I must have missed that story. :)
Lol.

Could well be the only reason he was drafted.
Sam came out on February 9th and has been in the news for nearly 7 months now without even making a team.
Didn’t think any teams would step into this controversy after the Rams cut him.
Think this is the end of the line for Sam.
I do! Eh?
Man, am I going to lose sleep over the unfair nature of football... /s
Why would anyone pick this guy up, when there are other more qualified people?
Free agent?
Well there are lots of roadside restrooms.
Or the Packers?
The Redskins should talk about signing Sam, that will nut up the press!
Yes, but all too often he blows his coverage.
It is the Acme Packers
It just occurred to me: There probably won’t be a Son of Sam.
Sam can’t fudge about being a good football player anymore. I guess he’ll be packin’.
I am sure some liberal homo lovin’ group will offer some talk show or something like that where we can all learn to love him. He’ll make millions off of it..
You mean San Francisco doesn’t want him? He would fit right in.
About 30 years ago! Yeah, I remember it was the taxi squad from the ‘70s. Maybe with the explosion in wealth for rookies, they all finally could afford to buy a car and get to the field on their own.
