No one wanted to be president less than Mitt Romney, his son said in an interview out Sunday that raises new questions about the candidacy of the losing Republican nominee.
In an interview with the Boston Globe examining what went wrong with the Romney campaign, his eldest son Tagg explains that his father had been a reluctant candidate from the start.

RE:”
Only made it to The Show once. McCain was there first time, he didnt want it bad enough either.
Mittens had a golden opportunity - the previous four years example - and he did nothing with it.” I see it a little different,
Early on I really expected both to lose and I predicted it in comments here.
Both were the wrong people at the time, and add that any R would have had a hell of a time winning 2008 (a lost reality inside the talk radio bubble)
In 2008 running a candidate whose sole experience was being a war hawk (neocon) was exactly what America would reject in 2008.
Similarly MR money-bags who makes enormous $$$ on investments and ridicules nearly half the voters to his rich donors was exactly what America would reject in 2012.
They were the wrong candidates at those times,
And them being phony about their real positions didnt help them either, same with Paul Ryan the goofy grin robot.

BTW :
#42 was not all the reasons I could cite, but I wanted to keep that comment concise.
Yes, they acted scared to really fight but given they didnt fight the way we would have liked we can't predict how that would have worked electoral wise)hurt or helped) , but it would have helped us after they lost.

Taft allegedly didn’t want to be President, he wanted to sit on the Supreme Court (which he eventually did, as Chief), but his wife wanted to be first lady.
That was a long time ago, nowadays, I don’t buy it, no one would put themselves through a modern POTUS campaign if they didn’t want it, badly.
I suspect Mitt has wanted it for a very long time, to vindicate his daddy’s disastrous run in 1968. Supposedly he might have even run as early as 1996, if he had managed to defeat Kennedy in 1994.

I think it’s a sign that establishment is not contented with it’s “frontrunners”, Jebbie and Christie Creme.
Pining for Mitt Romney, that’s just friggin sad.
