Contact your local shelter. They most likely can refer you to a low-cost spay and neuter clinic. The one near me costs $30 for that. They can also do what’s called a SNAP test that will determine FIV/FELV status for around $5. Then you will know what the next step will be. May God bless you for your compassion. :) <3

Check your local area for rescue groups. Often, they can assist with finding low cost vet services. It may just need some vaccinations and meds to get back on track.

My tomcat has a similar attitude towards the outdoors. He’ll occasionally step onto a stair if I’m around, but as soon as I go inside...DADDEEEEEE!

coyote problem.. solved with ..use of assorted rifles and shovels. If they choose to lie down and nap far enough out in the North 40, the buzzards do a fine job of cleaning up the evidence...
And the neighbors are, um, deaf...

Sounds like you have officially adopted "Garfield"!
He is now YOUR responsibility! ...you feed him & protect him from Gremlin.
The vet bill is nothing compared to saving his life.
Make him your new house cat and never let him out.
Gremlin is a hater, where is his compassion. ...where does that hate come from?
If you don't save "Garfield's" life, he will surely die a miserable and painful death.

Well, God gives us the right, since He gave us dominion over the animals of the earth, and the responsibility to care for them in a humane manner. That's assuming you're even serious, which I cannot imagine. He could be serious. I got a boxer from a man who had to get rid of his animals. When I asked is she was spayed his response "No, I don't believe in it". There are apparently some people who actually do not believe in it.

Aside from controlling the stray population, neutering a male cat at the proper time will prevent him from developing the spraying habit.

I dont believe in neutering cats or dogs. What gives humans the right to deny any creature its God-given right to reproduce?

I can’ tell if you are missing a sarcasm tag or not.
Funny that you use the term God-given.
You may want to re-read Genesis 1. The answer to your question is in there.

But some people get their pretty little panties in a wad over cats.
I don't wear panties even tho you'd obviously like to sniff them...........

When we first moved here in 2002, this area was overrun by feral cats. It was awful. We chose to do nothing, although our neighbors were feeding them. What was once woods with little undergrowth is now heavy woods full of undergrowth. I haven’t seen a cat now in a few years, and my guess is that the coyotes and fisher cats probably got them.
