A preliminary autopsy commissioned by the family of Michael Brown suggests that there was no sign of a struggle in his death, and that all but one of at least six gunshot wounds in his body were likely survivable, according to Dr. Michael Baden, a renowned New York forensic pathologist who performed a private autopsy after a Ferguson, Mo., police officer killed the unarmed, black 18-year-old.
Baden said in his preliminary autopsy that he believes Brown would not have been able to survive the bullet that hit at the top of his head and traveled through his brain.
Appearing Monday before reporters in the sanctuary of the Greater St. Mark Family Church in St. Louis, Baden and three of the familys attorneys went through the diagram of Browns wounds that was released with the autopsy.

So it took six shots to bring him down. He must have been drugged out of his mind! I don't blame the cop for avoiding a "struggle".

so the one in his eye was survivable?

Its really instructive seeing how the media spins autopsy results that in fact fully bear out the officer’s version of events.

The autopsy would only show signs of a struggle if the officer had inflicted some sort of injury during the struggle, which is by no means certain. I think it is the condition of the police car - a bullet hole, paperwork in disarray, hair or blood traces, fingerprints, DNA traces from sweat, etc. - that would provide evidence of a struggle, if there was one.

I think the shot to the top of the head exited through the eye and face..

More information needed. If the reports of the officer's injuries and hospital treatment are accurate, there was some type of struggle. The officer needs to play the PR game too and release information that shows the other side.

Baden's report also notes the shots could have from within 2 feet.
This suggests Brown was in very close proximity to the officer and cooroborates the audio on the video with the witness, who we'll never hear from, saying Brown was rushing the officer.
Sure looks like a case of self defense for the officer.

Yep. We already know he was in a "struggle" that left him uninjured earlier in the party store.
I'm pretty sure that its been reported that Darren Wilson did have swelling and abrasions consistent with a short struggle.

I thought the officer was treated for minor abrasions & contusions.
Aren't those 'signs of struggle'?

That and the condition of the police car, and any evidence found therein, should be able to establish whether there was a struggle.
To: Citizen Zed
But the thing is according to the police and some of the witnesses there was a struggle of some kind in or around that police car as they said the gun went off and a shell casing was found in the vehicle along with the fact they said the police officer’s face showed he has been hit several times.
Now if that is the case there should have been GSR on Brown along with signs of a struggle on his hands and knuckles.
So how many autopsy’s are going to be done before we get the facts?

Yes, I forgot to mention that, but I am also very interested in what evidence the police car might provide.

To paraphrase an old Chicago saying, "We keep doin' autopsies until they come out right."

The cop had to go to hospital, er so now the Dems and race baiters are ME shopping like they do for judges.

Brown would not have been able to survive the bullet that hit at the top of his head and traveled through his brain. Why? By all accounts it wasn't exactly a vital organ in his case....

Baden mentioned some kind of injury to the right thumb but no detail — that one may be interesting if there was a struggle in the car.

That wasn't always so. "Black culture" was an artificial creation meant to divide.
