The Cochno Stone bears what is considered to be the finest example of Bronze Age 'cup and ring' carvings in Europe. Picture: Contributed
Heh heh heh heh heh, they said Cochno. Thanks spyone.
Reminds me of Akhenaten’s designs.
I’d guess it is a star map
Could it be POSSIBLE?????
LOL!
Very cool!
It kind’a looks like crop circles to me...(?)
Clearly, this is a star map left by an advanced civilization who came here thousands of years ago and scratched this into a rock to let us know how advanced they were.
Cool!
Prometheus (2012)
Good catch!
It doesn’t match any currently known stars. Because they haven’t bed discovered yet. //sarcasm
And, hey...stop using logic.
Obviously this is an early version of a mini golf course.
“Some people think that the Cochno Stone is a map showing the other settlements in the Clyde Valley thats one of the theories. I think it was probably used for lots of things; it was never used for just one thing and over hundreds of years it changed use.”
So did the location of settlements.
As far as the symbolism goes, some believe its a portal, of life and death, rebirth, a womb and a tomb people believed in reincarnation, so they would go into the earth and then come out again.
Shirley McClain theory. Wonder why celebrities are so anxious to find an afterlife without judgement?
“Mr McCallum said similar carvings had been found around the world, including in Hawaii, India and Africa, while in Scotland they tended to be found along the west coast near the sea or rivers, often close to copper mines”
Ancient bookkeeping ledger?
Could be a game board for marbles. We used something simpler but similar when I was a kid. Could be ancient graffiti. Ancient public restroom? Directions to the local cathouse? I don’t know and I am sure they don’t either.
Where’s that one?
Ping to “Whats this for?”
