The Cochno Stone bears what is considered to be the finest example of Bronze Age 'cup and ring' carvings in Europe. Picture: Contributed
Reminds me of Akhenaten’s designs.
Very cool!
It kind’a looks like crop circles to me...(?)

As far as the symbolism goes, some believe its a portal, of life and death, rebirth, a womb and a tomb people believed in reincarnation, so they would go into the earth and then come out again.
Shirley McClain theory. Wonder why celebrities are so anxious to find an afterlife without judgement?

Ancient bookkeeping ledger?
Could be a game board for marbles. We used something simpler but similar when I was a kid. Could be ancient graffiti. Ancient public restroom? Directions to the local cathouse? I don’t know and I am sure they don’t either.
Ping to “Whats this for?”
Whenever I read or hear the word “portal” I stop reading or change the channel.
Could be an ancient attempt at a prostate exam.
The examee stands with his feet in the depression and shoots out his best stream of piss. The markings are to record how far he can shoot. The rings are to measure flow rate.
They look new. 5000 year old inscriptions shouldn’t be white.
