WAUKESHA, Wis. As parents get their children ready to go back to school, getting them vaccinated is probably on the list.
A popular shot for young girls is the HPV vaccine, but a Waukesha mother said her daughter died hours after getting the shot.

The differential diagnosis for vomiting is huge...
Infection yes, but also headache, food poisoning ( as you mentioned) enteroviruses, motion sickness etc. Without waiting for the coroner’s report there is no way to know cause of death.
As a nurse who has given many vaccines the indication depends on whether the girl was febrile. Remember too that the general populations idea of what a fever is is different from the medical community. You are not febrile unless you have a fever of 100.1 or over.
Yes they have!
I am against assuming and being okay with the idea that 12 year old kids will and should be having sex.
Here you go, the full length made for TV movie.
Looks like the liberal dream world!

Why would a medical professional give a child a vaccination if she had a sore throat?
Gee, the misogyny here is so thick, you need a chain saw to get through it.
********************************
No, it isn't. The fact is that not everyone believes that this vaccine has no ill effects. That doesn't make them misogynistic.

Phase I safety trial of intravenous ascorbic acid in patients with severe sepsis
Alpha A Fowler, III, Aamer A Syed, [...], and Ramesh Natarajan
Background
Parenterally administered ascorbic acid modulates sepsis-induced inflammation and coagulation in experimental animal models. The objective of this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase I trial was to determine the safety of intravenously infused ascorbic acid in patients with severe sepsis.
Methods
Twenty-four patients with severe sepsis in the medical intensive care unit were randomized 1:1:1 to receive intravenous infusions every six hours for four days of ascorbic acid: Lo-AscA (50 mg/kg/24 h, n = 8), or Hi-AscA (200 mg/kg/24 h, n = 8), or Placebo (5% dextrose/water, n = 8). The primary end points were ascorbic acid safety and tolerability, assessed as treatment-related adverse-event frequency and severity. Patients were monitored for worsened arterial hypotension, tachycardia, hypernatremia, and nausea or vomiting. In addition Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) scores and plasma levels of ascorbic acid, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, and thrombomodulin were monitored.
Results
Mean plasma ascorbic acid levels at entry for the entire cohort were 17.9 ± 2.4 μM (normal range 50-70 μM). Ascorbic acid infusion rapidly and significantly increased plasma ascorbic acid levels. No adverse safety events were observed in ascorbic acid-infused patients. Patients receiving ascorbic acid exhibited prompt reductions in SOFA scores while placebo patients exhibited no such reduction. Ascorbic acid significantly reduced the proinflammatory biomarkers C-reactive protein and procalcitonin. Unlike placebo patients, thrombomodulin in ascorbic acid infused patients exhibited no significant rise, suggesting attenuation of vascular endothelial injury.
Conclusions
Intravenous ascorbic acid infusion was safe and well tolerated in this study and may positively impact the extent of multiple organ failure and biomarkers of inflammation and endothelial injury. this is exactly of what you stated before
Given the history of this vaccine, if you, with true intellectual honesty, cannot understand WHY parents have concerns and questions, I don't know what else to say to you. You either profit from forceful marketing of this drug or you are "less ex Dem" than your name implies and you like the control aspect.
Well said.
I think that sometimes it doesn’t hurt to use extreme caution when the government issues a vaccine and then rushes it out to the public. Especially where your children are concerned.
Two words.
Pap test.
as often as I disagree with metmom about stuff I fully agree with her regarding a Pap Test to which I would just add: “If you play - you’ll pay.”
It is not that a 12 - 13 yo girl cannot understand that - it is just that the downside risks are NEVER explained in SexEd class.
to which I would also add again: ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL
hat tip to metmom
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
The problem with the promises made by the vaccine manufacturer is the false sense of security that it will give women.
They’re going to be thinking that if they have the vaccine, they don’t need to worry when being promiscuous and that they won’t need to bother with pap smears.
Pap tests can detect cervical cancer when it’s easily treatable.
Will some people get it anyway?
Of course. Nothing can prevent everything. Bad things are going to happen to some people and there’s simply nothing that can be done about it.
So inflicting a vaccine that has the kind of track record this one has, especially with the way the government has pushed it through, and every knows the government is here to protect us, is foolhardy.
Might it provide protection?
Maybe.
But maybe’s and exceptions are bad things to make rules over.
And at the end of the day, it’s the decision of the parents and child to make the decision for themselves, and freely in this country without having to deal with being labeled as a misogynist by some control freak who wants to run my life and doesn’t care what tactics they use to intimidate me into complying with how they think I should live and think.
“Why does a 12-year old need it?”
Oh gee maybe it’s because of the male teachers in her school? Or am I wrong?

Trisham, IMHO, you may have hit the nail on the head, so to speak.
A vaccination shot isn't supposed to be given to people if they have symptoms of the flu, for example. Before giving someone a shot, the doctor/nurse will ask if you're sick; if you are, they won't give you the shot.
Incidentally, I recently brought one of my teens for a shot, and that was the first question asked by the nurse.
So, why was this young girl given the shot?
What happened to this young girl is heartbreaking. I hope the family finds peace in time.

I do as well. I can't even imagine the grief that they are experiencing.
If ever there were a vaccine invented to prevent the type of cancer I had, I would never insist that other people take it nor accuse them of “Middle Eastern attitudes” if they refuse. All medical procedures carry a certain risk, and a decision that’s right for one person isn’t necessarily right for another.
The fact is that, when vaccinations are administered, usually the doctor or nurse hands you a piece of paper that lists all of the possible risks. That information comes straight from the CDC. Often, one of the possible risks is fatality.
It doesn’t matter if the risk of fatality is one in a million; statistics are no consolation if your child happens to be that one in a million.
The bottom line is that we each have the right to determine whether or not immunization shots (how many, which ones, etc.) are OK for us and our families.
