The thread was already posted. Had a lot of posts on it. That is probably why.

I agree. They took down a fun thread of mine how it’s not feminine for women to cut their hair short. Seems we are not allowed to have fun.

I suspect the Class of 1998 gets no respect.

I have seen some dups locked and left up for read only. There was a link to the active thread. Seems like a good idea.

I too think we're entitled to a more detailed explanation than "no thanks" or other one or two word non reasons. It would indeed be a little more helpful in preventing us from posting unwanted threads if we are told more specifically what was wrong with the thread. I'm still waiting on an explanation as to why they deleted my bigfoot thread (properly posted in the general chat section) many months ago.

I’d like to know why any mention of Joe Sobran is banned.

One of mine was zapped today while I was still posting to it! It already had about 5 replies from other people. LOL

While we are on the subject of pulled threads, I would like to politely inquire as to the reason that my posting on the man with the world's largest collection of earwax was pulled.
For those who did not briefly see the thread before it was so rudely pulled, there was this man from Racine, Wisconsin who spent the past 20 years carefully harvesting the wax from his ears using a tiny long spoon and putting the wax into glass Mason jars. He eventually had an entire closet full of these jars.
We were just getting a good discussion going regarding the possible uses of all this earwax when suddenly the thread came down with a cryptic "no thanks" from the moderator. Anyway, we are left with the memories and this image of a couple jars still being fulled. One jar for the left ear and one jar for the right, I assume.
To: DManA
I’ve never had a thread pulled, don’t know what you are talking about.
To: DManA
I think I have only posted one original thread in all my years here on FR. It’s not worth the potential criticism/ridicule to post here.

The moderators only do something if they hear the kitties start meowing.
To: DManA
I think the mods are distracted by their gay crush on Mitt Romney.

I don’t know why they don’t take down the Joel Osteen thread. No dissent is allowed and Joel Osteen is vapid and superficial.

Have you ever thought about talking to the Soup Nazi? I hear he works part-time at FR saying things like, “No thread for you!”.

I would humbly suggest that FR should have some way of communicating to people why they decided to do this.

You can always send a private FReepmail to the AM and they’ll tell you.
You may or may not always agree , but at least you know why.
