So there was a thread discussing an Ann Coulter article. It just disappeared.
I would humbly suggest that FR should have some way of communicating to people why they decided to do this.
Maybe an on going tread explaining these actions.
Just a suggestion.
I find tinsel distracting.
BTW, I love tinsel. It disappeared when I was about 6. Why?
From my perspective, the class of '98 deserves the most respect. They have seem dozens of great freeper get suspended or banned by arbitrary wannabes who may or may not be still around. Funny how attitudes that today today are deemed to be extreme or less than polite are commonplace, and necessary when having to deal with a bureaucracy that has shown to be inherently criminal, and elected leadership which seems to be operating under rules from an alien universe.
The "posted already" police seem to be an arbitrary and arrogant bunch. Forget about trying to make any sense of the rules under which they operate. If we are issued a OUIJA board when we join, I failed to receive mine too. I started lurking in Sept of '98, and lost my original name when the FR software was updated.
Pro or anti short hair? lol
For those who did not briefly see the thread before it was so rudely pulled, there was this man from Racine, Wisconsin who spent the past 20 years carefully harvesting the wax from his ears using a tiny long spoon and putting the wax into glass Mason jars. He eventually had an entire closet full of these jars.
We were just getting a good discussion going regarding the possible uses of all this earwax when suddenly the thread came down with a cryptic "no thanks" from the moderator. Anyway, we are left with the memories and this image of a couple jars still being fulled. One jar for the left ear and one jar for the right, I assume.
They need money. The best way to draw us in is to include us in the decision making. Or at least give us a clue to their thinking.
Oh my.
I’ve never had a thread pulled, don’t know what you are talking about.
All I know is that the words of one of my very first bosses come to mind: Be more wary of those with “just a little” power than a lot. They have more to prove.
That has certainly been true of the conveniently anonymous FR mods, IMHO.
"You want some of this, see? then you need to make an offer! see? We know where your kneecaps are located, see?"
I once was suspended about 10 years ago and I still don't know why. My late mother (FReeper spald) wrote a note to Jim and defended me in such an effective manner that I was re-instated, no questions asked. I was always Mom's favorite.
Only time my to my knowledge my posts have been deleted is when forgot I was on Free Republic and I dropped an F-bomb. But yea it would be nice to get a warning or something.
As for your question ....
He was accused of being an anti-semite for being more accurate than necessary — Not by William F. Buckley as some think. Buckley merely said his articles were “contextually anti-Semitic”.
He wasn’t anti-semitic but he was supposing too much.
It would be nice for the anonymous Mods to engage us in this discussion.
“BTW, I love tinsel. It disappeared when I was about 6. Why?”
Because it was made out of lead. I hope you didn’t love it because it was tasty.
I think I have only posted one original thread in all my years here on FR. It’s not worth the potential criticism/ridicule to post here.
Tinsel was lead? NOOOOO.
Well at least it wasn’t people.
I think it’s absurd that you can say F-Bomb but you can’t say the word everyone knows it stands for.
Same thing with N-word.
“Everything was taken from me, even my identity. I am trying to put my life back together.”
You need to call Paulanon. Get some help man. ;^)
Why is this thread still up?
You are pulling our collective legs, right? You didn’t REALLY post a detailed account of a man who “harvested”, categorized, labeled and displayed his ear wax in Mason jars......did you?
