Oh, Ms. MacRae? One does not need to be a horse-whisperer to know it. Try spending some time around horses instead of just writing about them.

And when they lay their ears back, you should walk up behind them and make loud noises.

First....horses can't talk. Second...ears can't talk. Third...horses can't read. Forth....Ears can't read.
These experts are jack a......

Just watched the movie: "Secretariat" and they highlighted his use of body language. His groom could really read him well.
Not a big Disney movie fan, but this one was great - couldn't even tell it was a Disney movie (except for no sex or vile language)

“Creatures use subtle body language to communicate”
Big deal.
Women have been able to use subtle movements of their hips to cause me to buy them drinks, dinner, vacations, etc.

A study has revealed that just like humans, horses read each others faces. So John Kerry and Sara Jessica Parker can just stare at each other and speak volumes.

This is OLD news. Horse people have known this for centuries. My father always told me , “Always watch the horse’s ears and you’ll know what its thinking.” Indeed, it is sound advice. If your ride is getting ready to throw you, or misbehave, he’ll always signal it with their ears. And ALWAYS avoid a horse whose ears are laid back. They’re fixin’ to cause some mischief.

Wow. My German Shepard does that. Perhaps she is part horse.

I don’t find the idea of horses communicating with their ears hard to accept after all politicians talk through their a$$es.

The last two generations have lost a significant amount of common sense with animals. The fact this had to be published is evidence. If we ever lose technology due to a meteorological event or a world catastrophe, the average person is screwed. Even the US Army and other branches discovered the folly in the elimination of horsemanship within the military services. I see stupid animal owners every day and the ignorant horse person often.
To: MeshugeMikey
LOL! They found this out with a “study?” All they had to do was ask anyone who’s ever had a horse. Sheeeeeesh....
