Mexican authorities searching an abandoned house were left stunned when they discovered a Bengal tiger locked in a cage.
Police officers, who found the endangered animal after a tip-off from a member of the public, say it is a complete mystery how the tiger got there.

kitty ping!
Some cartel member’s pet?
Heard he can get meat in USA, have his teeth checked and have an Americano clean up his poo poo everyday.
And provide him a breeding partner through Planned parenthood.
I question exactly WHO was the endangered one.
I wonder if a certain Rhino from SC would like to be locked up in a house in Mexico.
Someone channeling Tony Montana, that’s all.
Was he hungry?
Tigers hate cinnamon.....
Probably used to eat enemies of the cartel.
One day, a long time ago, when I first teed off at our local 9-hole course, I heard the roar of a lion. I thought I was hallucinating.
The golf course is about 1 mile or so from our local zoo.
Turns out that the big cats get fed SIX days a week and get nothing to eat ONE day of the week: Tuesdays. They are so fat and spoiled that it doesn't show.
However, THEY noticed it. There were THREE big males and a score of females. The roaring I heard was on a WEDNESDAY morning, JUST BEFORE they fed the lions...after having the lions "fast" for one whole day.
LOL. We heard them: I'M HUNGRY!! MEAT!! You should see the amount of beef that they scarf down. Wow.
Lion hunger/roar: UNMISTAKABLE sound and...also unforgettable.
Female tiger in reasonably ok shape, now residing at the zoo pending investigation. I hope they find the “owner” and send him to the nastiest Mexican jail they have.
I wonder if he got the runs from Mexican food...
I have a horse, and for a brief while, I boarded him at a barn near the town I live in here in Florida. One time I went out there in the evening and almost lost it - I heard tigers or lions or something or another roaring and I was convinced I was hallucinating, except that my horse was freaked out too.
Turned out there was a rather over-the-top pet lover there who was running a retirement home for big cats that had been in the circus. The roaring came at feeding time.
I never actually saw the animals, but they sounded like they were pretty close and although the owner of the barn assured me that the “lion lady” kept her pets locked up, it made me too uncomfortable just knowing that they were there and I had to find someplace else to board my horse!
At least a zoo a special wild animal refuge center which would be much, much better then an apartment.
========================================
LOL!!! Your poor horse! He was ABSOLUTELY sure that his days were numbered! It IS unmistakable, isn't it? You will NEVER, EVER, EVER forget that sound!! Not if you live to be 200 years old.
You were nice to move your horses and smart too. The STRESS on those poor horses, hearing those PREDATORY roars could NOT have been good for them. It would make me nervous too if I lived that close to roars.
AT least, when I heard the roaring I would know what day it was and what TIME it was...always.
No thanks, I PASS on living near the big cats.
When I was a small child, a zoo employee lived near our house. He kept a couple of lion cubs in cages in his back yard, hidden only by a hedge. I can remember peeking through the leaves to look at the lions. I was about 5.
I’m sure that they were secure, but it was scary, nonetheless. I can’t imagine someone being allowed to keep a wild animal like that on a small city lot today.
How 'bout putting the cinnamon on top of a nice, ripe, juicy, slow, young FAT kid?
