I remember in the 80s just about every kid had model X wing fighters and Tie Fighters.
During the early 60s I had a good collection of model airplanes including the first Starfighter, the F-104.

If I have to spell it out: Lucas trashed the original trilogy by replacing all of the amazingly done puppetry with fantastically crappy CGI effects. The existence of a new puppet suggests that J J Abrams recognizes that as a failure and aims not to follow.

the new movie will begin with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's characters discovering Luke Skywalker's severed hand 30 years after "Return of the Jedi" ends. The duo then team up with Han Solo and Chewbacca to track down the vanquished Jedi master. Sounds like a reboot of "Finding Nemo." Well, sort of.

I hope Jar Jar Abrams does not destroy the SW franchise anymore than it already has.
The past two Star Treks were an embarrassment, they both made little sense.
Hopefully Disney has a few writers on board that can make a decent plot.
