In an on-set video promoting Omaze's Star Wars: Force for Change campaign to raise money for UNICEF innovation labs and programs, "Star Wars: Episode VII" director J.J. Abrams reveals the brand new X-Wing starfighter ship that will appear in the upcoming film.
In the clip, Abrams stands in front of the war-torn ship while talking about their fundraising efforts. "We cannot tell you how grateful we are for your support," he says. "People from over 119 countries have already participated and that's incredible and we're so grateful. But we're still going, we have one week left. So for this final week, we're offering you and a friend the chance to visit the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII' and be in the movie."
PICS: Movie remakes
The X-Wing reveal comes amid an alleged plot leak that spoilers some story lines for the upcoming "Star Wars" flick (alleged spoilers ahead!).
According to Badass Digest, the new movie will begin with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's characters discovering Luke Skywalker's severed hand 30 years after "Return of the Jedi" ends. The duo then team up with Han Solo and Chewbacca to track down the vanquished Jedi master.
Sound like a good storyline to you?

As far as I know, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” was merely a running gag that has been carried over into ALL (not just several) of the movies.
I’ll check with some of my Star Wars nerd friends (I’m more of a Star TREK nerd) and see if they know that back story.

>>”I have a bad feeling about this........”
Do you know if there is some background story, or inside joke to that line (since it was in several of the movies)?<<
Lucas liked recurring themes. This one was, as he put it, “jokey.”
Other recurring themes included arms getting cut off, Jedis losing their light sabers, birth/death/rebirth and a few others I can’t recall this moment.

I think Jar Jar must have a tremendous schwanzstucker. That is the only reason Padme would keep him around.

They would fly by the house literally within a few hundred yards then maybe 20 minutes later would repeat the same thing and keep doing so for an hour or so. I never did know what they were actually doing.Probably either using the practice ranges (target practice) or touch-and-go (pattern and landing practice).

There was a bombing range close enough that I could hear and feel it when they bombed or strafed with the vulcan and I never did hear them.
Now there was an auxiliary field not too far away. Field 2 was also the field the Tokyo Raiders used as it was in the middle of nowhere.

Why would they care about Lukes severed hand from Empire? Did he get his other hand chopped off after Return of the Jedi for some reason?
It's allegedly holding his (Annakin's) old lightsaber. Which the two new protagonists recognize as a priceless historic artifact and set off on a quest to return to its owner.
I doubt this is the plot. I mean, not only is it filled with scientific nonsense (the hand/lightsaber getting from Cloud City to deep space, then surviving reentry onto the desert planet where its found), but also storyline nonsense (Luke just up and abandoning his good friends and new-found sister after Jedi and disappearing for 30 years).
However if it IS the plot ... well, I guess it'll end up making Eps 1-3 look very, very good by comparison.
