Not content to blow both feet off with a shotgun, Microsoft is going for the kneecaps now by blackmailing its customers. If you are still dumb enough to use Windows, you are about have your wallet shaken down by Microsoft in a familiar yet still unwelcome way.We dont feel the need to sugarcoat this much because the companys behavior is so blatant and uncaring it is almost staggering. Worse yet the victims, that would be almost all Windows users, have only themselves to blame because the pattern has been well laid out for years now. Microsoft has been unapologetically blackmailing users for years, anyone who bought one of their products in the last few years should have known better.

Charlie again.
Linux, Linux, Linux.
I have Win7 Starter on my notebook - was thinking of putting Vista Home on it but afraid I’d loose my ASUS stuff like my wireless software ... or Xp ....
Well. Ill get linux mint on a thumb drive, and only use windows for games then.
There’s no bias in this trash article.
Most likely, MS will cave once again to the general public and continue providing “free: critical fixes to Window 7 for years to come, but that is no guarantee. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
So what is your Malware protection?
You’d think a web site semiaccurate.com would be a clue to most people.
Wouldn’t surprise me a bit. Running a peripheral device driver shop is as easy as being a farmer paid by the government to not plant certain crops.
And extra if you keep your mouth shut.
Semiaccurate seems to be a good name for that drivel.

John Martinson has announced the release of Robolinux 7.5.5, the latest update of the Debian-based distribution that comes with a pre-configured VirtualBox for running Windows as a "guest" operating system:
He is not a fan of Intel either.
Or of Nvidia’s shady practices.
With linux you pretty much dont need any.

Set up another login account as administrator account and convert your convert account to a “limited” account. Do your work on the limited account and any sysadmin work on the administrator account. It’s impossible for changes to be made to the OS from the limited account, which means its impossible for a virus to infect the OS, though a virus CAN rarelhy infect the limited account, but in such a case, logoff the limited account, logon to the administrator account and run malwarebytes antimalware, and then let it delete whatever it finds.
That’s the ONLY security anyone needs for any OS since XP and it’s the only thing that actually works. NO antivirus actually works, though they do generally create havoc with false alarms and sucking your system resource and system performance dry.
And you can go just about anywhere, but keep personal data off of your storage,.
semiaccutate is a pun for a website devoted to semiconductor news. It’s actually one of the best sites around for stuff like that.
I have had printer calls where the printer - Lanier, Ricoh, HP etc worked in XP but not in Windows 7 and there were no drivers after they upgraded the OS. Other models may have a universal driver or say go to the Microsoft Update site to get a driver. It sometimes works but they will have to get a new printer when it does not.
I think these guys get together and figure how to boost sales.
