FULL TITLE: Killer who raped and murdered ex-girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter is executed after last meal of chop steak, cherry ice cream and Dr Pepper
A man who raped and killed an 11-year-old girl was executed today with the victim's grandmother watching from the witness chamber on behalf of her deceased mother.
Eddie Wayne Davis, 45, declined to say any last words before receiving a three-drug injection at 6:30pm at Florida State Prison. He was convicted in 1995 on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Kimberly Waters, whose mother briefly dated Davis.
For his last meal, Davis ate chop steak with onions and gravy, home fries, Brussels sprouts, corn, cherry ice cream and Dr Pepper.
After receiving the initial injection, Davis began muttering to himself though those in the viewing area couldn't hear what he said since the intercom speakers were turned off.
His chest then heaved up and down for about five minutes before he became motionless. He did not appear to be in any signs of pain and was pronounced dead at 6:43pm.
Davis' mother and a spiritual adviser were the last to visit him today.
It was the sixth execution in Florida this year and the second in the state since the death penalty came under fresh scrutiny in April.
In late April, Oklahoma prison officials halted the execution of inmate Clayton Lockett after noting that the lethal injection drugs weren't being administered into his vein properly.
The procedure was stopped but he died of a heart attack several minutes later.

It’s pathetic, and not only that they get “put to sleep” like they’re sweet little kitties who can’t find a home. The legal system in this country is an absolute joke thanks to liberals. We can’t even put to death terrorists for crying out loud! Forget about releasing 5 top Taliban commanders from Gitmo, the real outrage is why the hell were they alive in the first place? One word: Liberals. And look at the result - A traitor comes along and now they are free.

And BTW - he was protected by lawyers who demand a child be aborted in seven months or less.
Too bad the same thing didn't happen to this monster Davis so he felt some of the pain he put that little girl through.

A guy tried to assassinate FDR and accidentally or maybe on purpose hit the Mayor of Miami instead, they tried him and executed him only a week or so after the Mayor died.

The frozen ones are disgusting, I agree.
But fresh ones...halved, tossed with a little olive oil, balsamic vinegar with salt & pepper then roasted at 500 degrees for about 10 minutes....very mild and tender. Delicioso!
If only someone had, just as the drugs started flowing, leaned down and whispered into his ear “That wasn’t steak, it was the last guy we executed. And guess what’s going to happen to you?”

Taking so long to carry out the punishment is unconstitutional!!
I wonder if a person couldn’t turn the “cruel and unusual punishment” argument against the libs and argue that keeping a condemned prisoner alive and in constant fear for that long is a violation. Therefore, the sentence must be carried out with all due haste.
