Conservative columnist Ann Coulter has been shown a red card for her controversial comments criticizing the World Cup and calling soccer a girls’ game.
On the eve of the United States game against Belgium, Coulter has been blasted by fellow conservatives who have scoffed at her claim that "any growing interest in soccer can only be a sign of the nation’s moral decay," Politico reported.
On Fox & Friends, host Brian Kilmeade attacked Coulter, saying, "I will outline what she said and try to find anything factual in it. That will be an interesting little exercise."
And Fox News host Shep Smith said sarcastically, "I'm told it's a sign of moral decay. It's not."
Although millions of Americans are watching every match in the tournament being held in Brazil, especially the U.S. team, Coulter suggested that only Americans of Hispanic descent are viewing the games.

Baseball is for people too poor to afford sleeping pills. Give me soccer anyday over that slow, dull, 4hr snoozefest. A game based on English rounders for little girls.
Soccer is at least 90m of continuous movement, baseball is SO slow and dull. And not even American.

Although Americans are the only people who can watch two sports which take 3-4 hrs to complete, and then with no sense of irony complain that soccer is slow and dull.

There is nothing more important to Coulter than getting attention for her comments.
Soccer? What the hell is soccer?
That happens for the Olympics too.
What about basketball?
What about hockey?
What about GOLF?
Except when she talks about Romney, Romneycare, and oh, did I mention Romney? When she does that, I say to myself, I say, "Ann, you ignorant slut."
And then when she changes subjects, I go on applauding her.
It's called real life, folks. For all of you who simmer with rage because she hasn't turned into a perfect ball of light, here's a tissue - grow up. Because the fact is that Ann Coulter is, for 95% of everything she does, one of the strongest and most effective conservative writers America has ever had. She's the moral successor to Thomas Paine - and I'm a big Paine fan (no pun intended). Even after I read that Paine had bad breath and horrible manners, I still praise his writings.

...I don’t complain that it is slow and dull...I complain that it artificially depresses scoring so as to make it appear competitive...
...since so few goals are scored, I would submit that shots on goal should figure into the final score...and then you’d have a decent game...
