A rise in the cost of ingredients has prompted price hikes at fast-food restaurants.
The popular double-double at In-N-Out has increased 15 cents since last month.
Hamburgers and cheeseburgers went up 10 cents each and drinks increased 5 cents, the chain told NBC Bay Area. French fry prices were unchanged.
NASA Tracks "Zombie" Spacecraft from Office Space Inside Old McDonald's "We make every effort to keep our menu prices as low as possible," In-N-Out EVP of Planning and Development Carl Van Fleet said in a statement. "Unfortunately, we have seen some pretty significant cost increases over the last year and we had to take a small price increase in order to maintain our quality standards."
Overall food prices have jumped nearly 3 percent since April, which is the highest increase in more than three years, officials said.
Other popular fast-food chains like Chipotle have also been adjusting prices.
I like Fat Burgers in soCal.
The one on El Camino just off I-5 changed it’s name but the menu is the same.
Good skinny fries also.
One of the best TV commercials of all time, IMHO
that pretty much always happens
A store/chain opens, has high quality and good value, then as their costs go up, their quality goes down to prevent price increases.
This is happening with food in general as well.
I can no longer afford fish because it’s so expensive. Beef is wildly expensive, even chicken is getting up there. Where will it all end?
when you are on diet of salt and dryer lint.
I don’t eat fish but I cut my own steaks and roasts from primal cuts, cheaper.
I also cut and bone my whole chickens, store bought cheaper.
What brand chicken to you buy? I only buy Kosher (better tasting). I usually buy whole chickens. Anything that is butchered, obviously, is going to be cheaper. But I’m not a butcher!
Love Fuddruckers. Only problem is they will not cook a hamburger rare. If my burger is on the grill for more than a minute on each side then might as well call it a hockey puck.
I use Japanese laminated steel knives and a sharpener designed for the blade angle and a steel.
Look up how to butcher the meat, easy. If you want to Kosher the meat, see above, I use a Kosher recipe on my Brisket excellent.
If you have the time, I’d love your Brisket recipe. Only if you have the time. You can leave it on my private message.
Every now and then I hit the fuddruckers out on 26 heading out of Columbia SC.
5 guys is good but there is a local called Zestos that I love.
Will do.
We don’t really do fast food of any kind but hubby loves In and Out. I have never really liked their burgers.
Thank you!!!!!
I’m not crazy about 5 Guys. I don’t know why - I think it’s the expense. We can never get out of there for over 20 bucks and we’re two people. And it doesn’t taste as good as it should.
Anyone have any opinions on White Castle? The original slider!
Yes, indeed: 23621 El Toro Rd, Lake Forest, CA
I never got to White Castle’s when I was in the area, but I have had Denny’s sliders and they were pretty good.
They start their employees out at $10/hour, minimum wage be darned. If you want to see hope for America’s youth, pay a visit. The kids are well groomed, well mannered, courteous, hard working, and professional. If someone told you that Eisenhower was President, while you are there, you might believe it, they really hearken back to a bygone era :)
Don't know if it's still there. They had a burger called the Garbage Can. It was interestingly good.
Burger King had an option on nearby land. They had to give it up.
