Isn’t it pretty, the cover of the latest issue of TIME?
The paradigm shift continues and the outdated fear of fat is on its way out faster and faster.
You’d wish that some old-school fat phobics subscribed to the magazine. Unfortunately, I think this is hoping for too much, so I just emailed the cover to some of them.
Some people will still spread low-fat margarine on their bread as long as they live, as an old habit. But most people will soon realize that not only does it taste bad, but it’s also completely unnecessary.
Consider passing this on to your friends!

I’ve known this for 15 years. Went on low carb in 1999 and lost 25lbs in 3 months. All blood levels went to good to excellent. Low fat is the biggest con game next to global warming there is.
Cut your high sugar fruit intake, sugar, and breads it drives my TRIS to 3 times their natural level. I’m not a big sweet eater as I have to keep weight down due to being HEIGHT challenged at 5’. Most of my carbs are veggie based.
I basically eat my son’s type 2 diabetic diet minus the high sugar fruits. My TRIS are now normal. Even during Christmas they only budged 10 pts and I indulged in a few sweets. Equals cholesterol that is under control enough the dr does not scream for the horrid side effect riddled drugs! Which I can’t take any way, I’ve already had 5 reactions to the crap that were VERY UNPLEASANT.
But you are 100% correct on the non-fat crap. Same goes for sugar free, they are higher in FAT. They have to add 1 to make the crap taste a little better. Better to have a small portion of something good, than eat something you hate the taste and texture of.
I bring this up because after years of eating "wheat" bread, that is supposed to be better for you. I fond that white bread has less carbs and I digest it better.
I agree, with have the good stuff and have less of it. I have found that if I have a craving for a can of pop. If I drink one 12 ounce can of Coke, I am satisfied. If I drink diet I crave more.
Don’t remember exactly why she advised against chicken. “You’ve had enough chicken,” something like that. Years later, the “blood type” diet listed chicken as a problem for Type B. I’m AB- but the nutritionist didn’t know that. Good guess, perhaps? A happy omnivore, only sugar has a noticeably detrimental effect. Drat!
Thanks....I love chicken!
“Incidentally, the Rubenesqe woman was greatly appreciated until around WW1. Then fashion magazines came into being. Paris dress makers were setting the style and the style they wanted didnt look good on a full-figured woman. So, they photographed young boys wearing their gowns. This desire for thin women is solely a western fetish.”
I have long been of the opinion that this was driven more by the fashion industry being dominated by those who sexually desire pre-pubescient boys, than actual “needs” of fashion.
Doctors won’t tell you that though.
> Doctors wont tell you that though.
Unless the doctor is a relative.
Actually, I have. Not only have I seen it, I have done it. Trust me, you do not want to try!
