Cut your high sugar fruit intake, sugar, and breads it drives my TRIS to 3 times their natural level. I’m not a big sweet eater as I have to keep weight down due to being HEIGHT challenged at 5’. Most of my carbs are veggie based.

I basically eat my son’s type 2 diabetic diet minus the high sugar fruits. My TRIS are now normal. Even during Christmas they only budged 10 pts and I indulged in a few sweets. Equals cholesterol that is under control enough the dr does not scream for the horrid side effect riddled drugs! Which I can’t take any way, I’ve already had 5 reactions to the crap that were VERY UNPLEASANT.

But you are 100% correct on the non-fat crap. Same goes for sugar free, they are higher in FAT. They have to add 1 to make the crap taste a little better. Better to have a small portion of something good, than eat something you hate the taste and texture of.

I don't eat a lot of sugar, but I am thinking of getting rid of as much as I can. I used to make bread. The recipe called for 1 cup of sugar. Now the yield on this was two large loaves.

I bring this up because after years of eating "wheat" bread, that is supposed to be better for you. I fond that white bread has less carbs and I digest it better.

I agree, with have the good stuff and have less of it. I have found that if I have a craving for a can of pop. If I drink one 12 ounce can of Coke, I am satisfied. If I drink diet I crave more.
