This family was not involved with drugs. They were helping a relative. They were planning to go back home to Wisconsin the same day as the raid.

I don't know how the police didn't know there were kids in the house. Their van was right outside the door with four child car seats in it.

It is very disturbing what happened to this family.

“Injured” doesn’t do it justice.

A baby’s face was blown off by a flash-bang grenade.

More innocent victims of the WOD. Why does EVERY town “need” a SWAT team and armored vehicles?

THIS is why us plebians have the right to keep and bear arms. By defacto to protect our life, liberty, and property we are obligated to exercise that right in the full implications of those words.

I expect nothing short here in this case, than a Grand Jury being convened by citizens, regardless of what the scumbag JBT-colluding District Attorney will [not] do, and levy charges of nothing less than attemped murder. I don’t effing care if this is poopooed as a “tragic accident”, enough is enough and someone needs to be held to account for the actions of thugs dressing up playing Army.

This country needs to start disassembling the SWAT teams.
We do not need domestic terrorists in cop uniforms.
The only time SWAT should ever be used is in hostage situations.

It is very disturbing indeed, but some people on this forum can watch that video and still probably say the parents are lying, the child wasn’t hurt that bad, the cops did nothing wrong, etc.
The questions these parents asked, “How could the cops not know there were children in the house when they play outside everyday and the van with 4 car seats was parked right outside the door they busted down? Aren’t police supposed to look inside an opened door before they toss grenades, with the TV on they could have seen the baby? ... these are stupid questions to some people.

Disgusting.

The SWAT teams should probably turn off the Rambo movies the night before a raid.

Bush took the war to the terrorists, Obama and the democrats brought the war home to America. We are at war with our own government and many refuse to even admit it.

The Sheriff was quoted yesterday as saying that he'd do it all the same way again.

Sick bastards.

The Washington Post has a long article about incidents where innocents were injured or killed by SWAT use of flash bang grenades.

It's time to severely cut back on the militarization of police.

The Police really aren’t very different from the Muslims. None of them speak out against outrages committed by their brothers. But we’re supposed to believe that most of them are good.

WSB-TV says that "Deputies said they bought drugs from the house, and came back with a no-knock warrant to arrest a man known to have drugs and weapons". The cops also said that they had not seen any indication that there were children in the house.

Yet the parents say there were kids car seats clearly visible in the van out front. Yet the man they were looking for was not at the house, and one would think they would have somebody watching the house while waiting for the warrant, to see if anybody arrived or left.

My personal suspicion: the cops did not actually do the preliminaries they said they did in order to get the no-knock warrant. In which case the cops should be criminally charged.

Eliminate “qualified” and “limited” immunity, you stop this in its tracks. A couple of sentences for kidnapping, breaking and entering, assault with a deadly weapon, assault with intent to murder, battery and perjury would go a long ways towards helping people concentrate their thinking before acting.

And, legalizing drugs would do even more.
