Finally found a cool spot! LOL
I’m afraid it is going to be a very long hot summer. Praying that there are no more fires. With the dry hot weather, it doesn’t take much to destroy homes and lives.

This is so pretty, Meg. Thank you.
Also, thank you for being here. Seems that I have been AWOL a lot recently.
Trying to adjust to a new prescription has me feeling kinda puny. :)
Trying to get to and thru graduation is keeping me running.
Enjoy your visit and have a fantastic Monday.

I just walked to the mailbox and gave Lynn-dah a much needed walk. Then I made it back up the stairs. I will stay off it until this evening, when she needs ONE MORE WALK before bedtime.

Once Upon A Time
May 20, 2014
Read: Matthew 24:32-44
Some people say that the Bible is just a collection of fairy tales. A boy slaying a giant. A man swallowed by a big fish. Noahs boat-building experience. Even some religious people think that these events are just nice stories with a good moral.
Jesus Himself, however, spoke of Jonah and the giant fish, and Noah and the flood, as actual events: As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be (Matt. 24:37-39). His return will happen when were not expecting it.
Jesus compared Jonahs 3 days inside the big fish to the 3 days He would experience in the grave before His resurrection (Matt. 12:40). And Peter talked about Noah and the flood when he equated it to a future day when Jesus comes back (2 Peter 2:4-9).
God gave us His Word; its a book that is filled with truthnot fairy tales. And one day, we will live happily ever after with Him when Jesus comes again and receives His children to Himself.
Were waiting for You, Lord, to come
And take us home to be with You;
Your promise to return for us
Gives hope because we know its true. Sper
We have reason for optimism if were looking for Christs return.
In His teaching, Christ often used examples from nature, as He did here with the fig tree (Matt. 24:32). He communicated to His listeners with word-pictures that would be familiar to them. They were part of an agricultural society that mostly lived outdoors, so nature became the perfect vehicle for His presentation of spiritual truths.

Let me check with Jim. It seems that you have been here long enough.
You should be very proud of Emily Grace. She is very talented.
I have a new prescription which upset my tummy for a few days but I’m finally adjusting.
We are raising my great-niece. She has been with us for ten years. She graduates from the 8th grade in a couple of weeks and we have been busy.
It just seems there are days that things keep me away.
I hope you will continue to visit and share with us.

My Mom graduated from high School on D-Day 1944.
It was supposed to be in Boston’s Symphony Hall, but due to the excitement of the entire nation over the Invasion of Normandy, NOBODY cleaned up after the Boston Pops Concert!
The Entire Graduation was moved to Boston’s Tremont Temple Baptist Church, and the entire Graduating Class (about evenly divided between Irish Catholic and Jewish Girls)set foot in a Baptist Church for probably the first time in their lives. Meanwhile, the Diplomas had a HUGE typo on them which nobody seemed to notice till weeks later.
Your Post triggered this memory!

I am grateful for all your prayers!
My ankle is much better today. I still need the cane to walk, but it doesn’t hurt nearly as much.
