Yes we do, Meg.
Mr Mittens was so very happy when he was able to go outside after the vet visit on Tuesday.
He’s now back to acting like his old self.

I love the smell of rain.
We had a small amt of rain a couple of days ago. It is cloudy but I don’t think any rain is forecast, It has been kinda cool ..... In the mid to hi 70’s. It should warm into the mid 80’s by Sunday.
So good to hear that you are getting some much needed rain. PTL

It rained enough today to give us just over an inch..PTL indeed!! We are 7 inches down in normal rainfall.
It’s a cool 66 instead of in the 80s. Going out to refill the feeder now that the rain has stopped.

We had a good rain (visiting) here in the hill country. My little dogs were a bit unsettled, until we took a good, rainy weather nap. They see a quilt or blanket and they instantly calm down ;)

Promises Still Kept
May 9, 2014
Read: Genesis 15:5-21
In the ancient Near East a treaty between a superior (a lord or king) and an inferior (his subjects) was called a suzerain treaty. The ratification ceremony required animals to be sacrificed and cut in half. The animal parts were then arranged in two rows on the ground, forming an aisle between them. As the suzerain walked between the halves, he was publicly declaring he would keep the covenant and would become like the slain animals if he failed to keep his word.
When Abram asked God how he could be sure His promises would come to pass, God used the culturally significant symbolism of the suzerain treaty to affirm His promises (Gen. 15). When the burning torch passed through the pieces of the sacrifice, Abram understood that God was declaring it was His job to keep the covenant.
Gods covenant with Abram and His assurance of its completion extends to followers of Christ. That is why Paul repeatedly refers to believers as sons of Abraham in his New Testament writings (Rom. 4:11-18; Gal. 3:29). Once we accept Jesus Christ as Savior, God becomes the keeper in our covenant of faith (see John 10:28-29).
Because God is the keeper of our salvation, with renewed confidence in Him we trust Him with our lives.
He will never fail us, He will not forsake;
His eternal covenant He will never break.
Onward then, and fear not, children of the day;
For His Word shall never, never pass away. Havergal
Our salvation is secure because God does the holding.

AN UPDATE ON DOC. O
Got a note from Onyx and she said I could share some contents. Dr.O had a very good day yesterday. She got him a Burger King milkshake and he drank most of it. He is still on intravenous feeding but is very weak. She is still praying and being strong with God's amazing grace.
A minister friend told her that Colon Cancer can be cured by prayers. He has not passed blood for a week now. The prayers are working.
She doesn't feel like posting every day because things change every day and she doesn't know what to say. He is at a hospital that has no surgery unit any more and if surgery comes he will have to go to another hospital (if anyone needs to know where he is private mail me).
DrO is getting some physical therapy and blended food by mouth along with the intravenous feeding. He is down to 112 lbs. too thin for surgery.
Keep the prayers going. Nan
