As it turns out, weird food combos aren't just for pregnant ladies, you can eat them anytime and they are quite popular. Here are some weird but good food combinations that you may want to try the next time you're out.

I always heard potato chips on a sandwich was called “redneck lettuce”. I love it.
Peanut butter and banana sandwiches (untoasted bread only) - um, um, um.....
There is one type of sweet pickle that all the “Grandma’s” around here made (including my own). I know how to make them but it requires a tremendous amount of work...so I don’t. Those pickles, on a ham sandwich were a staple of my childhood.
Like you, I could not find anything commercially that would “work”...until two week ago. I proceeded to eat ham sandwiches for three straight days...LOL! Here you go (I hope these are similar to what you are looking for):

PS: My local store only had the kind that had some cauliflower and other things in it...but the cucumber pickles still tasted the same. I see that online they have a cucumber only version...now I will be searching for those!
We used to snack on saltines, sharp cheddar, onions and ketchup.
My dad was a staunch German guy. Onions on everything. I even remember him eating onions like apples.
French fries dipped in chocolate shake.
Pepper on cantaloupe or cottage cheese, or all that together.
Chili on spaghetti noodles. French fries in a pinch.
Salsa, tortilla chips and a chocolate bar.
M&M’s in pork and beef tamales. (friend’s mom ran out of raisins and consumed too much beer while assembling. A delicious “mistake”.)
Buttered piece of homemade bread and sugar. Cinnamon-sugar when a teen.
That’s it!
Our Costco was carrything the Coke in the bottles made in Mexico and my little community (Seattle suburb) doesn’t have many Mexican people.
Thanks for sharing. Sounds good (though I could eat pasta almost any way almost every day!). I’ll try it - - easy way when I don’t feel like making sauce (or don’t have all the ingredients to do so).
Thank you for the link. But $23.00 for a 1lb jar!!!!
I do think we could be friends.
I didn’t pay attention to the price online (I think it might be for several jars); the jar that I bought locally was $5...I thought that was too expensive...LOL!
If my knees weren't in such dreadful shape I'd be skiing the Tuck this week. ;(
There you go!! Love it!!
My uncles (being farm boys) loved Grandma’s chicken gravy. They ate it on everything. The one thing I couldn’t get over was that they ate it on sliced tomatoes and chocolate cake.
