Outstanding news. I haven’t checked all the perrenials yet, but the one’s that had the most blooms were covered. Hubby reported the the covers with the 100 watt bulbs were very toasty, but he didn’t actually measure the temps. So we know it was warm, and that those came through just fine.

Took off all covers off plants. They look fine, made it through the 30s temps if it got that cold.

sockmonkey, the only plant hurt was the Tycoon tomato in a large pot. It was small and appears it was broken off someway but didn't see the broken off part. I have three other Tycoons as backups that are as large or larger than that one, so will put one of these in that big pot. So, I still have Tycoons.

I really hope we are now over cold temps. It's 12:40 pm and the temp in garden is 66. Sun is out.

I went out to water since the plants had been covered so they got no water from rain.

I spoke too soon about plants - my two largest cucumber plants, one if stretched out would be 12 inches or so and another about 8 inches, are limp. That is what happened to the last cucumbers when there was cold weather and I covered them then, too, but they went limp and died. Hope these recover.

We transplanted the tomatoes into the raised beds today. Two look great, four others look a little jittery. All are covered in the frost blankets with hoops.

I think they’ll be OK. Maybe the four didn’t get hardened off as much as the two big girls...
