These Graphical representations of the actual usage of mobile devices on where Tweets originated and from what OS are very revealing. —PING!

“At Intel, 60 percent of employee donations were in support of Proposition 8. By contrast, at Apple, 94 percent of employee donations were made in opposition to Proposition 8. The opposition was even higher at Google, where 96 percent of employee donations were against it, including $100,000 from co-founder Sergey Brin.”

I dumped my iPhone when they pulled Bitcoin apps from the app store. Very happy with the Android, glad I did it.

It could all just mean apple users are more likely to use twitter and/or post more often

We are a house divided. I love my iPhone and iPad, and my husband loves his Samsung Galaxy and Kindle.

A Peak at a Few Larger Cities in the US & Canada

Huh? Why is there a noun where the verb is supposed to be?

Appartently the Patently Apple staff doesn't have a proof reader...on staff. Or worse, they do and he/she is only semi-literate.

From the link, under the USA graphic....

In an overview map of the United States, it almost mirrors the Democratic-Republican landscape. It’s a battle between larger cities vs small towns and rural areas.

Hmmmm. Wonder what kind of phones the free 0phones are.

I don’t care if I’m the last Android user on Earth. I prefer Android and that’s where I’ll stay.

I don’t buy the implications of this analysis. I see other techno-trends and movements.

3 of the 4 iPhones in my family have been replaced with Android devices (2 HTC1’s and an LG G2). The 4th will replace his iPhone with another HTC1 in two months.

Apple refuses to offer a larger display. I’m older and need a more screen real estate for my aging eyes to support a larger font selection. I guess this is lost on the “human-factors” expert 30-somethings over at Apple. (I don’t need to one-hand a phone that I cannot see.)

Finally, neither I nor my sons want to be tied to OSX or Windows; we’re Linux geeks.

This site needs to get somebody who is more than just semi-literate to write for them, it’s an embarrassment to all the creative professionals, copywriters and editors who predominately use Apple products. “Peak” for peek? “Consistant?’
Please.

> In that report we covered Business Insider’s viewpoint that the iPhone’s success in Manhattan proved the great divide in America between the rich and poor... if you work with the source mapping service, you’ll find a somewhat different reality that expands on Business Insider’s viewpoint.

BI’s viewpoint always slants left. Thanks Swordmaker.

Why is apple tracking user’s locations?

years ago it seemed this way, however recently I see (yes an anecdote) a more even split of android tablets. It also pays to take into account apple is rare outside the usa.

Absolutely no one buys Apple in my lower-class neighborhood (not surprisingly). But lots and lots of Android tablets purchased at Big Lots and WalMart (including mine — happy with it).

I don’t understand. Android is outselling iPhone in US and worldwide Samsung alone is outselling iPhone.

I’m funny about this. I think they’re both fine products, and I don’t wish for either one to wipe out the other. As a consumer, I benefit from them trying to outdo each other with features.
