Friends and family will be able to take the first step to save a loved one from an overdose of heroin or powerful painkillers called opioids.

The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday approved an easy-to-use device that automatically injects the right dose of an overdose antidote named naloxone before an ambulance arrives. Doctors could prescribe it for family members or caregivers to keep on hand, in a pocket or a medicine cabinet.

Opioids include legal prescription painkillers, such as OxyContin and Vicodin, as well as illegal street drugs like heroin. …

In what world do you live where you know heroine is a nasty, nasty drug but you stick that needle in your arm anyway and expect everyone’s positive support?

People have the right to make stupid decisions that may kill them, but we also have the right to make fun of those that do and show them no mercy.

Heroine is not a disease like Down Syndrome where the victim has no choice. Users are not “victims”, they chose the problem.

If all there is as consequences is acceptance and sympathy for those that choose drugs, where is the consequence, the negative feedback? Acceptance of people making such stupid decisions is enabling their decision and I won’t do that.

If you would have read my question, I don’t support the right of anyone shooting that crap into their body.

On the subject, I ask just a simple question:

If some dirtbag herioin addict is overdosing, are they really worth saving?

Dirtbag or not, no, they made the choice to ingest something that can kill them for pleasure. Tough noogies.
